Here is how to get Gold Ratings for every Shadows of the Past mission in Lithlad. Doing this will earn you the Shadows of the Sand achievement/trophy and various perfect gems.
These ratings were achieved in the new difficulty "Brutal".

Some of you asked for this, so I deliver! A handful of these missions are indeed quite challenging, so I hope this helps you get this challenges done. Several of these missions require you to unlock and equip certain skill upgrades. I left the necessary skills on for all missions, but that's not optimal. In fact, you should swap out for the skills that better suit your playstyle and the mission.

this reply is unrelated to the new Dlc that came out it actually is about the nemesis forge. so my first play through it imported my follower Zathra Head-Chopper, whenever I tried to forge a new follower and nemesis it gave me Zathra and Tuka who was a warchief who came back from the dead three times. I'm rather lost, if you have any insight on that it'll be greatly appreciated thanks. :)

Finally I know why Darthad didn't work for me. The German translation does NOT say "Set frozen Uruks on fire" but only "Set Uruks on fire" ... thanks translators. Thank you very fucking much... And Indreth is translated as "Stealth Kill on Caragor" whereas it should have been "Stealth Kill Caragors" which is basically the opposite. I wouldn't have finished any of these missions just because of the stupidity of the German translators... Great! Well, thanks for the video, helped me very much ;)

on breged when you get to the top you can shoot the left most mine to get under the canaopy. nothing hits you there. also under the second canacopy(from left side) you can stand and not get hit by anything. also at the chair nothing can hit you. at those places you can take a break and plan out your next move. but the most important thing is doing it over and over to get used to it. my god i can'tt even recall how many times i redid that one. on darthad with the glaive, it's best to turn off insta-kill counter and instead get might counter. get the fire element elven light(ground pound). just keep countering untill you get a high enough kill streak, freeze a couple of guys then ground pound for ignition. on tur the easiest thing is to just go in let enemies surround you and then using eagle's eyrie and talon strike. after you do the secondary objectives just grind the captians down any way you want(you can shame them away).

Same. I had to redo it a lot of times. After reaching the top, I kept trying to go fast and kept triggering mines by accident, so I decided to take it slow here and just walk. It's also possible to get on top of the first tent and Talon Strike ahead. If done carefully, you can skip most of that area.

The way I did the first mission (you showed in the video) was I climbed on top of the tent and then simply shadow striked my self over to the other tent and then to the end of mission. Makes it a lot easier for those who find this mission hard to do with all objectives completed. I sure did until I figured it out.

This has nothing to do with the video but I encountered a really weird glitch in Shadow of Mordor, after the Ratbag mission where you get introduced to defenders, no defenders start spawning afterwards. How do I fix this glitch?

I have a question i have 1 more to go. Indreth gold medal. Everything is pretty straight forward and easy but the warchief does not go down in 1 hit when i use the combat excecution. I aproach him in stealth and then pres Y + B . I perform a combat excecution but he does not die so i fail the mission. I tried 7 tines but do not seem to be able to get gold. What am i doing wrong?

I have heard of many people having this issue. Sounds like a bug that causes an incorrect captain to spawn. I'm afraid people experiencing this will have to wait for a fix from the devs. I do recommend filing a bug report of the WB support site.

Yo, big fan of your stuff. I have a question. Devs said some time ago that orks with grey sickly skin and natural cursed weapons made the best canidites for necromancers, and I have at least two enemy ones left. How do I go from their and get them the necromancer trait? If anyone can figure out how to reliably get a necromancer, it’s you.

Not all of them become necromancer regardless of meeting the requirements. You'll just have to level them up and if they are meant to have the trait, they'll get it right away.

Uruk's Hollow now my issue with that is that I’m about done with shadow wars, so everyone’s around level 55 at least, usually past level 60, so not exactly much room to grow. Can Uruk still gain traits after level 60-65?

They can, but I don't know about necromancer. Usually it's just gangs, mounts or hates for max level captains. Forgot to mention I haven't had any success with Followers. Only enemies got necro on my game.

There was a patch a few days again, and it seems that the captain changed, its no longer a big olog but it is a berserk that doesnt get one shoted from stealth even with full might, im trying to do it for 1h and i cant actually finish that mission

You are supposed to execute him, not stealth attack him.

Important question please. I hope someone answers me as soon as possible. I can't play Indreth mission because i haven't unlocked the ability "monster hunter" (i don't know if this is the exact name, i don't play the game in english). How do i unlock this ability??

Monster Hunter is an ability that allows you to stealth attack beasts. You can find it as one of the upgrades for Stealth Chain.

An achievement, Mirian and a bunch of perfect gems. Not too great right now, but gems will have more uses with the July update, so they'll be worth something by then.

I'm in the same boat. Wouldn't mind so much (Xbox achievements rarely pop straight away, after all) if I hadn't gotten the Baranor the Conqueror achievement a couple hours later and that one popped straight away. Better not be glitched.

Golden Tundra Yeah other achievements popped for me just fine but this one refuses to do it. I even went into the main campaign and got gold on all of them just to be safe. But nope still nothing. This is one of only two achievements I still need to get and it's really frustrating me.
