I'm especially pleased to hear your opinion on Noir d'arabie as I'm enjoying it but yet to actually smell the OG! I don't feel the need to smell it anymore! I know it's a fall/winter scent but believe me when I say I am able to still pull it off in this Houston summer heat🥵 Shaghaf oud tonka is an absolute favorite of mine and the only back up bottle I ever purchased. It's just lovely. I don't believe I have touched my yum gelato pistachio since I purchased Khair pistachio! I consider this totally back up worthy. I pulled it out to try this morning and my son walked past and was like "what smells so good?" Ha ha!! Now that's what I'm talking about!!!! 😂 I can't remember which other fragrances you talked about..oh but yes I do now.. Tharwa gold is another one that I'm glad I bought. With this, I don't need the OG. I feel like I hit jackpot with these fragrances, honestly! Again, great video. I like that you talk about the differences between the OGs and the ME frags, this kind of video is very helpful in making decisions.

I also ordered a backup bottle of Oud Tonka especially after hearing it might be a limited edition I hate when companies do that. I hope it’s here to stay. Last I seen it was up like almost $80 a bottle. I got mine when they were still 45 each.

Yes, on that creamy lactonic and rich sweet vanilla in Shaghaf Tonka Oud. It is currently my favorite in that entire range. I absolutely love Montale Arabians Tonka, great frag! I own the OG, so I never tried the Pandora dupe. I bet I would like it, though. Rua is gorgeous, and I agree, Rua is NOT Delina. Yes,the oud is there, it is a fruity that gives me a depth and complexity I like in my scents. Delina is a beautiful fragrance also! I made the switch to Tharwah Gold all together ❤️ Thank you another banger review. Very informative 👏 ❤❤❤

Hey Arahi! 😘 I am SO GLAD that you did not compare RUA to Delina - I agree they are completely different. I’m obsessed with RUA; it’s gorgeous. It’s funny, different websites reflect different note structures for RUA. I DO get incense from RUA and some websites actually do show it as a note (??) I agree, there is Oud in RUA, but it’s not at all stinky or animalic. Just makes it richer and more addictive. Agree RUA is not tropical or green. It’s frankly one of my very favorites from all of the ME acquisitions over the last 6 months! I think Delina is much more girly, fruity (litchi) and yes rosey 🌹 Excellent detailed comparison Arahi thank you so much and have a great weekend!

I have come to the point of going directly to the fragrance house site because..... 😂😂 I really do not get incense from Rua but much like you my love for that fragrance is such that notes and all become irrelevant! 😂😂😂❤️ What I do know is that it is not Delina! And you are right.... that is what I was trying to explain! RUA is a bordering on dark fragrance that also requires a certain level of maturity while Delina is an incredible fragrance that covers a different realm! You too have a great weekend! Wow, Arahi, I'm impressed that so many of the Middle Eastern scents have done so well in a side-by-side comparison with the original! I don't have Antique, but I am crazy about the Gris Charnel DNA, so it is super interesting that the two are so similar! I can't remember if you ever reviewed Liam Grey...if you have, I'm curious how similar it is to Gris Charnel, since this is the best dupe I have (I also tried the Francique one, but I didn't like the drydown on that one - it smelled really sort of dusty on my skin). These comparisons were so interesting, I'm glad to hear you will be doing another round soon, as there are so many other comparisons I would be interested in hearing about! Hi Erin! So I told you it would be quite controversial because OMG….. imagine me discovering almost every day another fragrance that has kicked it out of the ballpark! 😂😂 I sniffed Liam Grey from a small decant a friend sent me and I think it is quite nice! Francique is actually one of those that never made it to the channel as I picked It up as a result of a request and let it sit for over a month and just could not get into it at all! To me it was not just the dry down…. There was something my nose did not like within the notes it picked up so I decluttered! I must say that Antique really surprised me and it was from the very beginning even before I allowed time for maceration…. But I was in denial because how dare they try to compete with my dear Gris Charnel! 😥😢😂😂❤️❤️❤️ There are definitely so many more comparisons to come…. So stay tuned! Did anything really shock you or anything you really don’t agree on? ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I never thought I would get into Middle Eastern fragrances because, to be honest, the bottle is a huge part of the experience for me, and I find a lot of ME fragrance bottles tacky…but Oud Tonka was a game changer. I now find myself looking up ME fragrances and not even designer or niche anymore…and I’m getting accustomed to the style of the bottles. Some of them are pretty remarkable actually considering the price point of the fragrance. I have Khair Pistachio on the way as well as Nebras.

Hi Arahi ! 1. I prefer the BDK Velvet Tonka over the Swiss Arabian Oud Tonka. The BDK is smoother IMHO..whereas the Oud Tonka is harsher on me. 2. I also prefer the Khair Pistachio over the Kayali due to Khair performs greater !!!! 3. Gotta go with the Montale Arabians Tonka ! 4. I have not smelled either..yet. 5. Well ! Rua was NOT for me...and I agree....it does not smell like Delina IMO. ( I like Delina) 6. I am going for Antique over the BDK (due to price + performance). 7. Have you tried the Maison Alhambra Delilah dupe for Delina? I’ve got it but I’ve only had a decant of Delina. I love the smell of rhubarb to the point my favourite body wash is Molton Brown rose and rhubarb.

I agree with you. Even though a perfume doesn't dupe an original close to 100% it can still be a great smelling perfume or even a preferred smell to the said original. I tried Azure Fantasy by Orientica which is supposed to be a dupe for Louis Vuitton Imagination and I much prefer Orientica. It was surprisingly beautiful

The only reason I did not pick up a full bottle of Liam is because I already had a Gris Charnel that was about to be done, a backup bottle of GC and then also Antique! 😂😂 I figured that was enough! I have Affection. After watching many people’s reactions I wish that I had chosen Khair instead. I must qualify this by saying that I have never smelled the original. Affection smells good but I don’t reach for it often at all. Sometimes I use it to layer other fragrances that I want to add a little softness to or mellow out a bit. Hearing people’s opinions makes me wonder if I would like Khair better….the power of FOMO.

Hi, thanks for your videos i always love. But you are speaking about BDK Velvet Tonka and showing the bottle of Rouge Smoking from BDK in the camera. This bottle of BDK has only in common with Velvet Tonka BDK the cap. Because Velvet Tonka = golden cap and Rouge Smoking have a black cap.

Good morning and happy Saturday! 😂😂😂😂❤️ I am sorry to have to correct you on that as first of all I no longer own Rouge Smoking and the cap of Velvet Tonka, the true from BDK, has a golden cap! I think you may be confused as I did share 2 BDK fragrances in this video: Velvet Tonka ( Golden Cap and Gris Charnel Black Cap). Please note that there is no need for me to show one fragrance over another as I meticulously prepare for these reviews and personally edit each video to ensure the highest degree of quality and honesty in the content! I also recommend you look at the video again and if possible do a close up on the Velvet Tonka fragrance and you will see it is indeed the correct bottle! Hello! 💚how long does it generally take for khair pistachio to mature? I received mine in the End of July, but all it smells like is suede with a little cashmere, no sweetness at all, and longevity is about an hour or less with not great projection

Hello! It really depends on your production batch! There is no certainty in timeline when it comes to maturation. I can say, by your description, that you probably need to give yours a month if not more! Please let us know how it all works out for you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi Arahi! I think you are comparing the wrong BDK. You have in your hand BDK Rouge Smoking since the juice is red…. Velvet Tonka is yellow…. Which Shaghaf is close to ?

Good morning! You are correct as far as when you have a brand new bottle of Velvet Tonka the juice will be yellow! But my bottle is not new so with time the juice has shifted in color to a certain extent. Heavy vanilla fragrances tend to do that! Best example: Vanilla 28! I bought Shaghaf Oud Tonka and am so disappointed. It smells like the famous Jergens almond lotion, and my boyfriend said it smells like bathroom air freshener. Do you think it needs to sit for a while? I’ve let it sit about 3 weeks.

Mine is the same...very strong baby powder smell mixed with Jergens lotion. Mine has been sitting a month & still that way so gonna try not to touch it until fall & see what happens. 🤞

Yes please be patient with your ME fragrances For example I had to let Badee Al Oud Amethyst sit for about 11 months before it lost that skunky burnt rubber smell to then bloom into a beautiful rose…. So beautiful that a women chased me around the store to ask what I was wearing! It took Nasheet about 7 months to become a lemony Carmel with a ginger fizz…. sounds weird but is soooo good! Hope to see more videos identical to this one as I find it more helpful than new purchase/first sniff assessments. I do understand the desire to jump ahead of the game to present the latest and greatest fragrances out there and can als appreciate that sometimes the fst releases are the strongest that particular fragrance may ever be and yes I am team BEAST MODE! ❤ to you for all of your hard work and dedication for bringing your followers the latest in this ever growing fragrance world! Side note my collection is 99% ME because they are hitting these top notch scents with the quality quantity and overall performance!
