Great Videos.... I like when you note the depth range during video. Would love to see you do a video with " Key West Waterman" ! On your deeper videos are you using Heli-air ? Guessing tank is OMS 125 and OMS 45 for (travel/flush out/ hang mix) ? Your among the best, if not the best on KZbin !

So I got a question I live over here on the east coast and dont use a tank 50 to 65feet is my range I wanna go dive _play around...but not sure where to start is there any kind of structure or hard bottom in that death over there 50..60 foot or do you have to go that far out ..middle grounds any advice or help would be appreciated

He is Spearfishing for Gags 1st , and then whatever else he has time for . The Hogfish will hang around where the Gags and Cubera Snapper will disappear quickly when any shooting starts . So it takes a pretty big Hogfish for him to shoot at before he is done with the Gags .

He has a local machine shop make the blanks and he does the rest . He uses a 7.62x54R Russian military round as it already comes with sealed bullets and primers so no worries about moisture ruining the Powerhead .

It is used for warming up the water you place inside your wet suit so you get used to the wet suit faster . I hear it also works great on a can of soup .

In Federal waters a ways off-shore it is legal here in the USA . These guys normally are Fishing more than 100 miles off-shore in the Gulf of Mexico . They are gathering fish under a Commercial License so different rules apply as to what fish and what sizes are legal . His Supplier wants Gags 1st , and then whatever else he has time for .

No matter how you try sometimes the fish will move a slightly different direction as you are shooting . It takes practice , and sometimes the spear doesn't go as far into the fish as you thought it would . Rather than have the fish shake the spear a double-tap is a good idea to end this fish collection quicker .

@@michaelkritikos3952 Its really a large body of water and very deep (several hundred feet) and many places for the fish to run and hide. Its not as easy as the guy in the vids shows. Ive been diving for many years and also spear fish. They normally just dont sit there and let you shoot them. If water is less than 50' deep, then you really dont need a tank I agree, but deeper than that, its hard to do on 1 breath, most people cant free dive to 100 ft + and stay down there chasing fish.
