COVENTRY CITY WIN 3-1 AWAT AT MIDDLESBROUGH TO CLIMB TO 8TH IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2023/24 football season continues for Oliver (and his Dad) with a trip to The Riverside Stadium to watch Middlesbrough v Coventry City in the EFL Championship on 1st January 2024. We were sat with the Middlesbrough fans in the upper tier of the West Stand. Here's our Middlesbrough v Coventry City VLOG / Middlesbrough vs Coventry City VLOG
Middlesbrough started the game well and took a deserved lead with a Josh Coburn header. Coventry hit back quickly with a rebounded effort from Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and the teams went in level at half-time.
Two goals in the second half from Haji Wright and another from the excellent Sakamoto gave Coventry a 2-goal lead. They held on and took the 3 points home to the Midlands to climb to 8th in the Championship, just 3 points behind 6th placed Sunderland.
Just over 28,000 in attendance for today’s game. Great support from both sets of fans... The Coventry fans were particularly vocal after scoring and had a great post match celebration with the players.
