I grew up there. Loved it. Can you go down Sprague Ave, Washington Street, Academy Ave School, The old Horton Hospital, Truman Moon School, David Moore, and Dolson Ave.

My family left Middletown in 1957...We moved to Queens, NY...We use to live on Maryland Ave. in Middletown..Us kids would some times go up to the State Hospital, and run around there..Use to be a big rock we use to climb on..It had fools gold all around..I some times wonder if the rock is still there..

boring upstate little city with nothing to do but work in a warehouse or retail job or medical facility. Nothing downtown but taco joints, barber shops and a few dirty low down bars!! That's my view driving home from said warehouse forklift driving job!! hahaha

Middletown used to be a 3 railroad town with two major ones and a local one Also it used to be a major manufacturing center. However Middletown has had to deal with what many towns across the US had to deal with.. !)The loss of the railroads 2) Greedy businesses shipping all manufacturing jobs to china etc So, like many towns across the US, Middletown has to do the best it can to just survive I guess where you live is a real fantasy utopia
