Man, this had to be around 6:00 in the morning on a weekend in summer and during lockdown. Ive never seen Middletown so empty and devoid of cars. Nice vid. Thank you.

I rewatched the video and thought the same thing, until I realized the date and timestamp is at the bottom right of the video. This was back when I used the Viofo A119 dashcam. I was probably dropping off my gf at the time, she worked at the Sam's Club. The area is no where near that deserted now; Middletown has been growing in population very fast since then.

I moved here at the end of 2018 from Brooklyn, NY and it has been the most pleasant place I could ever hope for; the only thing I regret is not coming here sooner.

I feel the same way about brooklyn, it was best in the 90's but is trash now. Compared to Brooklyn this area is great, although it is starting to get a little crowded. New York in general has taken a turn for the worse over the last 10 years or so.

How early in the morning was this? never saw 211 saw car free.

This was just after sunrise, probably 5 am or 6 am. It was probably when a lot of businesses were locked down, as well. Thanks for the comment, and for watching.

Just one comment,... Towards the end, you were just a few feet away from the Davidge Park lake but you turned off right before it. Why?

If I remember correctly I had originally planned to loop back up the road to the park/pool parking lot where I was going to stop the video but my dash cam was already beeping telling me the memory card was almost full so I just cut the video there. You might notice a traffic cone right in front where I stop the car, doesn't show up on the video but the road was rough and I think I ended up making a left instead of continuing straight.

Thanks for watching and for the comment. Coming from NYC most of my life this area might as well be another country based on how different it feels, but I absolutely love the change.
