I can't thank you enough! Thanks to your video, I managed to clean the vacuum motor that was stuck with dust, and now the robot is working. Now, I'm trying to figure out an issue with the lidar sensor that occasionally gives a warning that it stucked.

My Midea S8+ had a "Please clean the cliff sensor" alert despite cleaning it, I wanted to open it but couldn't figure out how, thanks to this video I managed to open it and turns out 1 cable was snapped somehow, soldered it and working again, also allowed me to clean it properly inside. Thank you!

Did you only have to clean the wheel?

@@RobertDekker I've already bought a new wheel and just replaced the old one. But out of curiosity i've opened it today and everything looks alright (gears are intact). I think it's just the motor that broke - i can still rotate the wheel but it's very difficult to do so.

@@RobertDekker In my case the wool inside the gearbox made it difficult to rotate the wheel. But I know from 4pda.ru forum that another cause of wheel turn problems is motor failure.

I read that a lot of this type of vacuums have the stuck wheel problem. Where did you buy a new wheel? Mine is stuck too

@@headphone112 I think you can find them on aliexpress, but I wanna open the thing myself before buying parts, so I can't confirm. Wouldn't like to buy the wheel intead of the motor because of bad translations and such. Did you end up doing the repair too?

I have one wheel that does not function and I could not get the cover off (what you did with the wooden tool). This video shows clearly how to remove the cover. Thanks!

Same thing happens to me although nothing stuck in the wheel. Looks like the bearings issue it produces squeaking sound

Hi mine has stopped charging🙃. I Cleaned the contacts this helped a couple of times but no longer. I changed the battery. I put a multimeter on both sets of contacts. On the device I get a .7 someting reading in diode mode and the charger gives 16 sometimes when measuring DC voltage. This is where it gets confusing. At first it would give a reading only while the contacts were up but after I took it apart and cleaned and tweaked a little they now give a reading only when pressed down . Still not charging One thing I haven't tried is popping off the front wheel to see if something is holding it away from being fully seated. Read some where this could contribute to a charging issue. I can't pry it up. Does anyone know how to remove and reinstall?? Or let me know if there is something else to try or an expert to consult. Please and Thank you.

I disassambled the mini pump on mine. the rubber hoses were swapped. I connected them correctly and now everything works.

Hello mate, i have this model I get this error WIPE THE CLIFF SENSOR I do, but still the problem remains, it looks like those are damaged, do You know where can i get a replacement?

Mine isn't charging. I cleaned the contacts and sensors. the multimeter says that the base is putting out electricity. I swapped in a new battery. would opening it up and cleaning it help. customer service says it's an internal issue but won't say what internal issue.

First thing the wet mode doesn’t work! Even when brand new and after 12 months the base charger burnt out and luckily it doesn’t burn a hole in my carpet but it does burn the vacuum base contact though! Midea Melbourne office refused warranty and told me to send it back to Amazon USA and it ll cost me $200 to mail it back! Useless!!!
