Takes me back to no worries, no bills, no mortgage, no job and endless summers riding our bikes in the neighbrohood, drinking out of water hoses on a hot day. I don't hear this song much but when I do I am always taken back to the summer of 1980. I remember a girl let me "borrow" the 45 record if she could borrow my Rubik's Cube. Awesome song, one of my favorite from the time period when we all were (more) innocent and had nothing to worry about.

I fell in love with a woman when I was 25. She wanted to see the movie Xanadu, so we went to the drive-in together. While this song played she asked me to kiss her & then told me she loved me. A week later she told me she was married and was going back to her husband because of her kids. I was devastated. She was beautiful, we were the same age. I never saw her again. That was 34 years ago. Whenever I hear this song I think about that night when she told me she loved me. I was young and naive. From time to time I wonder what became of her. Nicole.

"Magic" Come take my hand You should know me I've always been in your mind You know that I'll be kind I'll be guiding you Building your dream Has to start now There's no other road to take You won't make a mistake I'll be guiding you You have to believe we are magic Nothin' can stand in our way You have to believe we are magic Don't let your aim ever stray And if all your hopes survive Your destiny will arrive I'll bring all your dreams alive For you From where I stand You are home free The planets align so rare There's promise in the air And I'm guiding you Through every turn I'll be near you I'll come anytime you call I'll catch you when you fall I'll be guiding you You have to believe we are magic Nothin' can stand in our way You have to believe we are magic Don't let your aim ever stray And if all your hopes survive Your destiny will arrive I'll bring all your dreams alive For you
