The skull one is super cool! :O Also, how do you think of these really cool, creative and detailed prompts?
@District7DrewGeraci
@District7DrewGeraci Жыл бұрын
Yeah, the skull one is pretty amazing! As far as thinking about prompts, I usually try to find other artists works (painters, photographers, etc) and ask the AI to generate the art in their style. So for the skull one, I basically told the AI to find other examples of tarot cards and then insert the other imagery that I'm thinking about, into that particular style. It doesn't work all the time, but I'd say it does 90% of the time. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for a great inspirational video. Many images are just so astonishingly artistic and beautiful. But I wonder what is the maximal resolution of images? @District7DrewGeraci
@District7DrewGeraci Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! The max resolution is about 1920x1080p, which is at best, an 8x10" image. It'll be a few more years before we see higher resolutions for large format printing.

@@District7DrewGeraci Thank you for answering. I saw your video on my 75" 4K TV and the images you used in the video looked absolutely amazing. So I got the impression that the resolution was high enough for large print format. @District7DrewGeraci

@@dogmaticCURE I've upscaled the images to 4k so they 'should' look better than what I get out of the actual prompt generator, that being said, you could print these, you'd just have to upscale them to at least 8k for a decent large format print. These can be upscaled further for more detail and sharpness, but they need a very good transformer model upscale not the usual crap you find on the web. Try swinIR on replicate*. But you might have to break the image into tiles and stitch them back, because that upscale model needs a lot of vram.

Yes, the semi-colons are used as weights. They put focus on certain subjects of your shot. You can assign numerical values to increase or decrease their importance in the scene. It depends on how large you want to print. Most of the images are less than HD (1920x1080) so you can (at best) make a 5x7 that looks good. You'd have to scale up the image (via another AI service) to print any larger.

You use colons and commas in your prompts, and I've seen quotation marks and hypens used too. What difference do they make?
@District7DrewGeraci
@District7DrewGeraci Жыл бұрын
It compartmentalizes certain aspects of the image and tells the AI what to prioritize. Adding weight(s) has a similar effect. I've found that the colons work the best for specific subjects. Commas have less weight and those characteristics are added to the scene more loosely. With the new V3 that just launched it makes all of them kind of the same now, so there's no real difference.

@@District7DrewGeraci I would love to see a video of that process. I tried Topaz and other methods and couldn't find a way to make the image usable in a quality print. But I also don't want an 8x10. I was wanting to print at typical wall art print sizes, which I think would be the only reason to print them. 24x* or 34x* or larger. I like what MidJourney and other AI prompt-based generation tools are capable of in terms of visuals for screen, but as far as printing for display it seems useless.
@District7DrewGeraci
@District7DrewGeraci Жыл бұрын
@@bloodswarms I don't think you'll ever see any IA generator producing resolutions that could print at those ranges simply because it would take too much computing power to produce, which would be a huge strain on servers. What is the difference between art we make with this tool and art we make with other tools?
@caerbenogg
@caerbenogg Жыл бұрын
@@SerenityDreaming Hi Kimberly, the difference is: you don't make it, you type in words and the image is generated. You had zero input skillwise and the result is outside your influence. Art without human emotion and physical craftmanship is not art, because it became dehumanized. It's not a tool like Photoshop. In Photoshop you need some skills to produce an image and do compositing, the tool in itself is not creating the final image. AI is different, it does all "creative" work for you and you can't control the output. The result is more or less a coincidence. Selling 100% AI generated images is morally questionable. If everything can be art, nothing is art anymore.
@RogersPhotographyGuilford
@RogersPhotographyGuilford Жыл бұрын
@@caerbenogg After using Midjourney for a couple of days now, it's quite apparent that it takes a tremendous amount of time and some "skill"/knowledge to string together the correct words/phrases to achieve an image you are in search of. Is the output art? Yes it is. Who are you or anybody to define what art is? Is a painted solid black square art? Is a painted solid white square art? Is a reproduction of a soup can art? In the not so distant past (which I can clearly remember) photography was not considered an "art" discipline. Today it's just as "valuable" as the hand painted/drawn image. Photoshop was just a "toy" and look at it now. This is just another tool which you can leverage to enhance your vision(s). You need to stop being so angry and embrace and use new technology to your advantage. The base of art is technology. You're not going to change the tide and this is certainly a tide. It engages the mind visual senses (part of the mind I guess). Be happy!😁
