Welcome to "Midjourney Photography Prompts," a KZbin video that explores the most popular midjourney photography prompts and provides examples of how they can be used.
Midjourney photography is a unique and creative form of photography that involves capturing images of a subject at various stages of a journey or process. These types of prompts can be especially challenging and rewarding for photographers, as they require a keen eye for detail and the ability to anticipate and capture important moments.
In this video, we'll go over some of the most popular midjourney photography prompts, including capturing the growth of a plant or animal, documenting a construction project from start to finish, and capturing the transformation of a person or place over time.
We'll also delve into the world of artificial intelligence (AI) and how it is being used in the field of photography, specifically in the creation of AI art. AI art is a type of art that is created using artificial intelligence algorithms and techniques, and it has the potential to revolutionize the way we think about and create art.
Overall, this video will provide you with inspiration and ideas for your own midjourney photography projects, as well as an understanding of the role that AI is playing in the world of photography. So join us as we explore the exciting world of midjourney photography prompts and AI art.

Just out of curiosity, would anyone care to see a video on the ethics/pros/cons of AI Art? If so, leave a like or a comment and let me know.

Nooooo. Ive been called everything under the sun. Its split everyone. Some will embrace it , some will seethe and moan. Not sure what else u can bring to the table. I personally think the worst thing that can happen to an artist is rejection, being ignored, your ideas never growing, being told your no good. So these artist who are top of their game, have millions of followers should be thankfull of that. Its more emulation, rather than 100% copy.

No, it's a divisive subject but it's about money. These "artists" concerned about AI art are only really concerned about their bottom line. I hear there are even "anti AI art groups" LOL. These types are selfish, greedy and do not have a true interest in art. AI art allows young children to learn art, I myself had zero interest in art until I use openai and midjourney. If someone takes an image I create, then I have created an image worth taking. Remember these are public releases they will have far better behind the scenes. Even I can see how a so called professional artist could use AI art are inspiration and direction. I mean someone wanting a picture of themselves with say tom cruise, does not want to disrepect tom cruise but will in reality never have the chance to have a photo taken with him so it's the next best thing. It's funny 99.9% will use such art as fun, but these artists and groups focus on the 0.001%. wokers, one and all. I'd be interest in a video of applies these effects to real photos without losing the look of the person e.g an oil painting of my wife, etc but so that you can still recognise the face etc.

NOPE its just an artist tool . Years ago people said that all digital would put artist out of buisness . that was a lie . I do celibrity portraits and exact likeness and the Ai will not let you do anyway. So all Ai is , is a idea machine . For potraits of an real preson I still have to rework it in other art software

Thanks for this helpful video! As you mentioned the possibility in your first video, a tutorial on photoshop would be so great and welcomed! Especially focused on things that Midjourney struggels with. You already mentioned the terrible, sometimes even scary, hands and feet; how to remove things in a pro way; fixing eyes; and what needs a lot of frustrating hours for me, when MJ cuts the very top of the head by the edge of the image, adding the hair to get a complete head ( I'm trying with the paint tool and then the smooth tool, but if I look closely afterwards, you can always see the difference :(( Merry Christmas and greets from Austria!

Don't throw away a picture you like only because hands are crippled or you only dislike one feature in the image! Use inpainting to let the "AI" suggest some alternative image-parts instead. Mask the crippled hands and let the "AI" fill in a alternative hands. Repeat until it suggests correct hands in the desired position and size or the sharp nose you have in mind. But take the time and correct one feature after the other - this gives you the best control over the result. It's just a few clicks ;-)

Hi , i just have one question, how can i use my photo to modify it , i try every possible way , always changing the facial features totally, totally different person , is there any technique i can use to reach at least 50% or 70 % closer to the real person i add it as a source. Thanks

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do this. I get similar results as you. I typically use images as a prompt for style or colors. But to get anything close to the original, I haven't had much luck. Hopefully in the next version.

Nice video and great explanation, thank you John. Now can we just agree on the fact that no Midjourney image never looked like an actual photo? 😄(not just the images that you show, but in general... Midjourney always looks like digital painting whatever what the prompt is).
@aijohnart

You are correct. It doesn't have that level of detail yet. But when it does, I am all for it. I always hated setting up and tearing down sets. Being able to create all new images with just a few prompts would be awesome!

Do you have tips for landscape photography?
@aijohnart
@aijohnart Жыл бұрын
I just started playing around with that. The best advice I have at the moment is: You can build your scene using "Background is ...", "Midground is ...", and "Foreground is...". By using this you can really dial in your desired look. Also, try the prompt "golden hour" to give it that sunrise/sunset feel. Hope this helps.
@quitt5371
@quitt5371 Жыл бұрын
@@aijohnart I've been using all those tips! Golden hour definitely gives the scenery a warm feeling, and I feel like the foreground/midground/background modifiers only work if there aren't too many elements in the prompt. For example, if my prompt is: "House in the foreground, river in the background," the river tends to stay in the foreground despite specifying the background. So I plan on experimenting with image prompts to see if that helps!

Ignore the negative comments, a lot of "real" artists are in a panic about AI, I paint in watercolour and do linocut prints and I'm embracing AI, at the end of the day complaining about AI is like a rocking chair, it will be fun for a while but will get them nowhere.

I can see this AI manipulation possibly being a useful tool but I can't imagine anyone wanting one of these creations framing and putting on a wall. They look like works from MOBA (Museum of Bad Art) but far less interesting. I find these results unrelentingly lugubrious.

AI is in breach of copyrights which belong to the artist. That's the bottom-line. Theft is theft. This is not being creative in the least. Just stealing

I'm not sure what the laws are in your area, but as far as I am aware, in the US you can not copyright a style. Making an image that simply looks like someone else's image is not illegal from everything I know. I can understand artists not liking AI but I suggest looking up the relevant laws in your area so that you can get better informed.

@@hagarahmed3808 Artists will always find ways to make money. Think of AI as a tool to create not as an artist itself. It's more like a car or a phone - did we give up walking with invention of a car? Did we give up communicating with friends, family etc with invention of a phone? New technology comes replacing in a way something we're all used to, fortunately or unfortunately it's how it was, is and probably will be.
