Paused the video at 5:21 to tell you. This a well thought out tutorial. How you present it and explain everything to a newbie like myself, i will for sure learn midjourney. Keep up the great work 👍 👌

This was fantastic! By far the best intro to midjourney tutorial I have come across. I am new to Midjourney (just started using it a few days ago), and am struggling to figure out how to get consistent characters for my brand visuals. I signed up for your top level of patreon and am looking forward to learning more from you!

Your videos are truly amazing. It's straightforward to understand as you are putting in a good amount of effort to explain this from a beginner's/layman's perspective. I would be grateful if you could come up with a video on how to write a prompt for beginners: I would like to understand what should come first in the prompt followed by the next and so on (Subject, Format, Style, Setting, Mood, etc.) Thank You!!!

I just started my journey 🙄and am mostly groping around in the dark. Having said that, I'll have to agree with others who commented that your channel is one of the best. AI is evolving so quickly and the website interface has so much potential. A question for you, do you know of a way to create 'characters' that are not people? More specifically, I want to create a consistent rendering of a specific sailboat model. Is that even possible?
@woollyferncreative
@woollyferncreative 3 ай бұрын
Thanks, I really appreciate that! Midjourney's CREF feature looks for the T-shaped area (forehead, eyes, nose, chin) of the face. Using CREF for objects or characters that do not have a distinct "T zone" is difficult. You'll get something that looks similar, but it's not going to work as well. Your best bet for creating a consistent rendering of an object may be to use a combination of an Image Reference, CREF, and a detailed text prompt. This video has been most helpful. I was wondering about the discord/midjourney interfaces. I have tried both - still a beginner so stumbling around and experimenting - I found I was getting more what I wanted on discord, but obviously it is more work. Why do you get better results on discord do you think? Also I tried to generate a seed so I didn't have to keep putting in the url of my picture style, but the seed thing didn't work. I'm wondering why that is. I came to your site on another video and I saw you can save the url so I will try that instead. I was trying some ballerinas, some of them came up beautifully, but on close inspection half an arm missing, knees on the back of their legs, etc, haha! So annoying, it's not like you're going to want pictures of people with knees on backwards! And once it started that nonsense, it wouldn't stop.

Thank you so much for the kind comments! You shouldn't see a difference in results on Discord vs the website, because they use the same Midjourney models. Creating images of ballerinas and any human or animal doing a movement other than standing still can be challenging! It often takes a combination of detailed prompting and persistence. If you are trying to get a specific pose, sometimes using an image reference can be helpful to give Midjourney guidance on the composition. It's not foolproof, but it can help. Image References go at the beginning of the prompt. Here's a video about ways to use images in prompts: kzbin.info/www/bejne/garVXqGNqdVksJo Re: the seed parameter, using --seed tells Midjourney to start with a specific visual noise pattern and can be helpful for direct comparisons across prompts. More on that here: woollyferncreative.com/2024/02/26/how-to-use-seed-number-in-midjourney/

Is it possible to delete an image that has already been generated on the Midjourney website?

There is a Hide button, which will hide them from your Organize page. There is not a way to delete.

Is discord no longer the preferred place to generate images? Is it helpful to still learn on discord as well or should I just focus on learning on the website? Thank you!
@woollyferncreative
@woollyferncreative Ай бұрын
I think the website is easier for beginners and has the Image Editor, which combines features such as Vary(Region)/Repaint, Zoom Out, and Pan into a single easy-to-use tool. There's also now a "Full Image Editor" that lets you upload external images and Retexture - this is not available on Discord. I think the main benefits of Discord at the moment are 1) it is easier to be connected to the Midjourney community through the Discord server's plentiful channels for chatting and creating, 2) the weekly Office Hours (led by Midjourney's CEO) are held on their Discord server, and 3) there are a few commands and prompting methods that are only available on Discord (for now). It all comes down to personal preference. You can totally become proficient with Midjourney by only using the website.
