The songs from 'the Courage of Others' really come to life live. Recorded, they are a mere comparison. Although Tim doesn't like to perform live, he has to come to realise that performing live elevates Midlake onto a lofty plateau.

This band was the true “some of the parts” band. Although I enjoy the post Tim Smith Midlake, albums, and Tim’s harp album they don’t compare to the total cohesive package they had together. I just really wish they would get back together to make another complete kick ass album like Van Occupanther or Courage of others. Let’s be real …Midlake without Tim is the best backing band you can ever ask for… just ask John Grant.

Ahh bee "Tim" ahh, Bir insanın sesinin yanında, duruşuda da mı bu kadar asaletli olur.. 2010 'daki "The courage of other" adlı albümün "Midlake" de son albümün olması ve en sağlam, en güzel ve en melankolik parçalarının bu albümde olması, sanki ben artık buradan sonra "Midlake" ye veda ediyorum dercesine mi yaptın bee adam.. Çok özledim bee geri dönsene Tim..
