Nice riding 🤙👌🙌 good thoughts also on the board and fuse angle vs wave angle. What set up you on underneath please? 🙏

Nice ripping! I like the idea of a longer and narrower. Do you prefer the ma800 over the new ha580? I love my 800 for winging in waves but I know some wingers replacing it with the 580 now, they say the 580 is better. What do you think?

Tough question, both have a different purpose. In my opinion the 580 is easier to use for most (680 definitely than 800MA) for winging in flat waters and also more enjoyable in those conditions. The ha have such a smooth predictable glide its amazing. The next scenario would be in small to medium waves that are not steep and weak. Most people should be on the 580 or 680 in these conditions unless jumping ects. The third category i feel is advanced riders that want to be in the steepest part of the wave and turn very fast rail to rail ( or big freestyle jumps) this is when the MA still have their place. Lately I have been trying to approach the steepest part of the wave hence i have been spending a lot of time on the MA800. Note that if you are prone and pumping between waves you should be on the HA foils not MA range as they allow you to pump so much better yet still have great carving ability. Long answer this one hopefully you read to the end :)

Thanks 🙏 mate. Long answer but read all of it, a really good explanation.

I mean I like the board. But curious how it paddles into waves? I could be wrong but I feel like the tow robot could work with a traditional prone board. I’m curious what this board does. Could it be used to downwind? Seems too small. Could you wing on it? I’m sure experienced riders could. I know it would be an absolute weapon in the surf. I have a little 27L 4’ board that can chip into some tiny surf.

The tow robot does work with a prone but at my weight I almost double the time I can use it for. Close to 2 hours so that’s plenty enough for me. Oskar used the 75l to supdw and loved it for turning but most people won’t be able to use the board for this.

Longer board creates direction and drive

I think you’re right it helps directing a turn. Not sure that makes sense but it help project weight into the direction you initiated the turn to. Maybe that makes more sense
