What a pity you missed out on seeing the dam it is a fabulous sight especially after heavy rain to see the water cascading over it. My wife used to work there at the cycle hire centre at the side of it. If you had turned left at the lights at 17.19 travelled over the bridge then turned right it would have taken you there, it is the next reservoir up the valley. As for the Strines this is one of the great biking roads in the area and whenever I get the chance I use it to miss out Sheffield when returning empty in the lorry. Really enjoyed this, thank you.
