I believe those who were graced to know Midnight's voice already consider him a legend gone too soon.

There are a lot of great singers out there. But it's very rare for a singer to show this type of passion and soul while singing. When you hear the adage, this is what someone was born to do, Midnight was for sure put here to sing. And he sang with such incredible passion so effortlessly. That's not only an incredible gift to have, but even more of an incredible gift to share...

I wasn't aware that Midnight had passed away. What a loss! I found this band on the CD Transcendance in late 80's and still have it. I never saw them live, but wished I could have. Are they now reunited and touring? I'm a trained classical pianist and would you believe a 63 year old woman? I love and have always loved Crimson Glory, Iron Maiden, Sanctuary, Dream Theater, Queensryche, another underrated band Savatage and more. Long live metal!!

It is indeed "Arms of an Angel" - on Midnight's memorial MySpace page (google "midnight myspace") - it's there under the song "Angel" (or it was there a few weeks back). You can probably email those who maintain the MySpace page for a copy. Best wishes.

I had the good fortune of seeing Midnight and the rest of Crimson Glory at Iguana's in Mexico. Was an incredible show, with the band Heir Apparent (another underrated band) opening the show, with Fates Warning as the headliners. Incredible show. Incredible vocalist. And most dearly missed.

@Sharoncat2008 That's amazing! I had the good fortune of meeting the members of Savatage during the Streets tour. I also met them during the Poets & Madmen tour in Florida. They came out after the show. Met, Jon and Diamon (sp on the singer's name who was on tour) and Jack Frost, whom I truly admired. People asked him about his own take on Criss and he said something like, "It's Criss. You don't do your own take. You respect what he did. It was amazing and from some magical place."

Somewhere in my house and I know I have them, I took pictures of Savatage with their permission because we had made special private label incense for them which they at one time sold at the concerts. The concert we went to see them at was in Chicago around, if my senior moments (LOL) serves me was about 1998 or 1999. I'm going to look them up and try to share them on my facebook page, maybe, if I can scan them. I was the only one allowed to go backstage after and met Johnny.

@Sharoncat2008 I wish I could click the thumbs up about a hundred times, Sharon. Savatage is by far one of my favorite bands - EVER - and like Crimson Glory, they share the tragic fate of losing someone too soon, when a drunk driver killed Criss Oliva in a head on collision, just as SAVATAGE was beginning to gain some recognition after the release of Edge of Thorns. For the TSO Believe contest, you can see I did a Criss Oliva memorial.

@Sharoncat2008 Awesome, more power to you - keep it metal :-) Classical is fantastic too, lots of my favorite bands have nicked a thing or two from that (rather wide) genre. On a side note, I regularly check out KZbin for old school metal (even if I have had the CD's for years, like Crimson Glory's), this time I needed a Midnight fix. What a voice, now silenced forever. :-(

It was never released on any album. It was only released on his MySpace page as a streaming song. It's actually a cover tune by a band called STONE SOUR.
