LOL on the Patina, have never liked a nice car left with a trashy finish, they deserve so much more. My dad had a 57 Olds Rocket 88 4 door in Steal Gray with the J2 under the hood. Best I remember the gas fill was under one of the tail lights that had a door on it. Loved that old car. Love the show Paul keep up the great videos. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

My dad had a Chrysler D500 with dual quad carburetor from 1956 and had a three tone paint job white, yellow, and black. I was about two years old when he bought it and remember this car. It had so much torque he had the rear an gear replaced a few times. He was a true hot rodder.

Hey, Paul! It's so good to find you on KZbin! Remember replacing the taillights on the little 4'x8' Runaway Navigator camper, white with the blue stripe, when I was parked next to you at TT Little Diamond Lake? They're still working perfectly, of course, and I often think of you and am thankful, when I'm doing my pre-trip walk-around and light check. Yes, Thank you, So much. This video is a delight, partly due to your calm narration and easy-going interactions. You bring out the best in people in a natural, genuine way; and that is such an encouragement to watch. Helps me remember the mode.😊 I loved the reverberating radio! What fun cars were, back in the day. My uncle had a car with the ventiports (don't remember the exact label again) and I was wondering if there would be a car sporting that enchanting little detail. Hurray! Thanks for including it in your video. Brought back good memories. And The Gate King (right? Right nane?) almost made me wish I had a pickup! Wish I could buy a pair for my fire lookout friend for her pickup, but she'll have to buy her own😂! So, yes, it's good to find you on KZbin. Happy travels and maybe we'll be neighbors again some time, somewhere along the way.

Every time I see a Nova, I get so mad at myself for making such a bonehead buying decision back in 1980. Instead of getting a 79 Nova when I had the chance, I waited for the POS Citation because of the all the buildup it was given by GM and its propaganda machine, aided by all the bullshit car rags, claiming that it was gonna be a revolutionary this and that and in reality it was the biggest turd GM has ever mass produced.

Paul, Great video! I do have a question. The Edsel Villager wagon, why couldn’t the owner color match the paint and have it professionally repainted? Does it devalue the car? Thanks.

Fun episode I love the Chevy or GMC pick with the 5 windows I think 51- 55. I would like to ask your advice I’m finally Going to pull the trigger and buy a Juiced bike the Rip current s what is your thoughts on color if they made a blue one it wouldn’t be an issue Red Black or Silver what are your thoughts 🙏🏼❤️
@paulontheroad Жыл бұрын
I love that series of pick-up! GMC called them "New Design" and Chevrolet called them "Advanced Design" and they were built from 47 to 55. Like you, I especially like the 5 window version. If you're getting a Rip Current I would most likely get it in White rather than the Blue one I got. I don't dislike the blue but it's not a shade of blue that I'm particularly fond of. Good to hear from you, Mark Send me an email if you'd like to chat about the bike or anything else for that matter: paulontheroad49@gmail.com
