After listening a few times I now marginally prefer the TA. It’s like a well rounded espresso coffee vs a specialty fruity/spicy blend that tastes special once or twice but you don’t want every morning. How does this video not have millions of views???

As much as I want the TA to win (just placed two orders on TA Classic S a few months ago myself), I feel the winner here is the Ibanez, at least for this particular song. The Ibanez simply seems to have more refined dynamics and feeling. The tone is also less in-your-face, which is perfect for the mood. I'm not sure if this difference is from the guitar or other factors, but the Ibanez version is the one that touched me. Fantastic playing!

Both the guitars sound great. The key factor is the player. Indeed I think you can make sound great even a cheap guitar.

Great playing!!! I also have the TA icon Classic with SC1, the only thing I don’t like is the position 4 (middle + neck) it doesn’t sound like a strat for me….I don’t know why…maybe with VA7 is better

I feel TA has more clarity and middle frequency, maybe the main difference is the cause of PU?

Yes, the TA has a certain kind of "sparkle" no other of my guitars has.
