I saw the band in the early '70's in a small pub in Bell Block (near New Plymouth, New Zealand), I will never forget the experience and I'm pretty sure I'm right in saying that they were well over 120 decibels and were told to turn the volume down for the second night, which of course they totally ignored. This looks a bit tame by comparison, the energy they made back then was electric.

I suppose we will have to wait and see what the future brings as in live shows or concerts, they did say the band will continue to write new music, but the end of world tours. This could mean a number of things, maybe just some small pub gigs around Australia still , charity type gigs or if the next album they produce is anything like resist, they might feel the need to tour it around Australia.. we can only hope, going to last Sydney show, can’t wait .

So amazing! Haven't heard this album for 20 years (became a corporate bitch and felt it blasphemous to listen to my rock/ideology idols), yet knew every word still. Great to see Rotsey front-and-centre. Jim can't move to the centre because he needs to be close to all his "bells and whistles/instruments to be the musical genius that he is. 52 minutes very well spent. Rock on OIls!!!!!

They might not have quite the same power and passion as they had when I first started seeing them around 82 but then 40 years on I'm not sure how much i have either but I have to say that they're still firing and getting to hear the Outside World & Only The Strong couplets took me right back to the original 10-1 Tour when they kicked off gigs with those 2 songs so often on that tour. Great memories of a great band in a time when it was great to be an Aussie.

Great video.. omg what an epic couple of nights last week. Monday night with my best mate, hearing 10-1 in full live was a proper bucket list moment. I heard so many times - ‘they’re at their peak please don’t stop’ and I tell ya what - this concert was a top 3 Oils gig. Then Wednesday night I was able to see them again but with my daughter wearing the Oils tee she was born onto and my wife who has been on this oils journey with me since we met in the early nineties. What a way to say goodbye to the greatest band on earth. Oh and Adam, what a champion. Massive shoes to fill - he should be super proud - he’s made history. 🖐

Yeah they where definitely at the peak Monday night and all looked to be enjoying it , been a wild ride over the last 40 years especially since the return in 2017 with spur of the moment car trips to Adelaide,Melbourne, wodonga, hanging rock was cool. Each place brings a different atmosphere and the way the band warms to that venue , hard to beat 10,9,8, this year but Rutherglen and Geelong was right up there , watching oils in the pouring rain was quite an experience Going to the last show at Hordern pavilion, this will be the ultimate show, seems such a shame to end at the peak of tour after one of there best albums Resist , guess we will have to wait and see what this means for the future of the band, they may just do pub gigs in Sydney or still do small shows in Australia only

Old man singer with old men band, surely there is new bands with something fresh to listen too? Ha ha this was the best sounding concert i have seen in the past 3 years , these guys rock it better than any folk music garbabe that is going around now. Thank God i saw them at the peak in the mid 80s and when they released this album playing in multi coloured overalls. Rock on Oils we are still living the life as audience and band.

I was lucky enough to get tickets for both nights at the Palais. This night was easily the better of the two, aside from 10,9,8... played in full they played a lot more of the older songs as well. I don't think the venue was the best choice (all seated) but they sounded fantastic and to hear such an amazing album played start to finish I am very grateful for. The sound is pretty good on this video (thanks to the person that posted it), but I have to say at the venue the mix was brilliant. It certainly sounded much better than here on KZbin as you would imagine.

@@BREAKDANCER71 - but it's sad to think it's all coming to an end. I've been following them since the "Run By Night" single. But this playing of "10,9,8...1" evokes so many memories of the run of gigs I saw them play at Thebby (August 1983) as part of the "10,9,8...1" national tour. The bodies may be older but the power & passion in the music is still there.
