Friday nights are always a very busy time at the head quarters of the Reading and Northern. Port Clinton brings about three trains every Friday. First to arrive was QANR. This train is a turn job the shuttles cars between Tamaqua yard, where most traffic is brought into the Blue Mountain towns of Mount Carmel and Shenandoah. The train picks up needed cars in Port Clinton, this night being a cut of 60-ish coal hoppers. As QANR was making moves about the Reading main and Minersville branch, the return of WHFF pulled up to the signals at PULPIT. WHFF is nightly traffic being shuttled between West Hazleton and North Reading yard. Once both trains were in the clear, the NRFF made it's grand appearance. With five SD40's on the point, the train cruised through the platform with grace. Once clear, the WHFF took its turn heading back to White Haven, lifting its train at run 8 out of PULPIT and onto the Reading mainline. Once the bay window cleared, the QANR finally took its turn heading South, following right behind the NRFF. Overall it was a very entertaining night. Enjoy
