These walking videos at night in japan are such a lifesaver for me. As someone who is an introvert who lives in a crowded part of a country and an unsafe one too, going out is extremely difficult for me, and I also can't go out at night because the part I live in has many, many issues like robberies. I want to explore, I want to go on walks especially when I feel down. But the place I live in is just too dangerous. And these videos help me think and feel solace.

Thanks for watching the video. I too am an introvert and have a hard time walking in crowded places. Whenever I read comments from people from other countries, it always makes me feel that I am very blessed to be able to take a walk at night without feeling unsafe. I hope my videos are helpful.

I studied in Tokyo last summer and I remember those last night in the city quite well, aimlessly wandering. There was something quite beautiful in the vast streets of Tokyo, like an ocean that went on and on for miles.
@tokyotwilight_jp7 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. You were in Tokyo last year! I found your analogy of Tokyo's vast streets being as beautiful as the ocean to be unique and very appealing. When I take a late night walk, I sometimes have the pleasant illusion that I am surrounded by nature, like a quiet ocean or mountain, even though most of the city is supposed to be man-made.

I asked my brother how his trip to Japan was and he told me in terms of safety, he has never felt safer anywhere else. That being said, he also said that at night he felt kinda scared, not because he felt danger but because he said it was quiet, TOO QUIET, and not the good kind either. He said it felt like a ghost town
@tokyotwilight_jp7 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. Your brother is right, except in some downtown areas, the streets of Japan are very quiet at night. The silence is frightening, as if the people have disappeared, but for me it is also a fresh time to look closely at the city itself.

Thanks for watching the video. It was worth it for me to hear you say so and to make the video. The audio in the video was recorded using the Osmo Pocket 3's built-in microphone, and no special processing was done after the video was shot. I only just noticed someone trying to remove a road sign! The statue of a flower with a face on it is called 'Children's Tree' by Taro Okamoto, an artist. The church-like building is a wedding hall. There are many wedding halls on Omotesando. The woman shouting on the street late at night seemed to be raising her voice at a man she knew, who was walking at a small pace ahead of her... did they get into a fight? It seems not uncommon to see people lying on the street in Kabukicho late at night... I enjoy your comments every time I read them, as they remind me of so many things. Thank you.

Thanks for watching the video. In Tokyo, Kabukicho in Shinjuku and Shibuya are especially littered with litter. Late at night, the number of drunks increases, and perhaps littering increases even more because the masses are not watching.
