I'm not ashamed to say how much I miss vaughn benjamin, it's just because of his relivants, not saying that others within this genre isn't. But vaughn was just simply different. Not sure why our how but that's the way it is. I'm a big fan of roots reggae music regards of the regent it comes from, as it has grown through out the years with voice all over the earth I love this genre and hope that it doesn't sell out as many others has done. But to me vaughn was special. He simply grasp on to what his elders has left for him and implyfy their great works making sure the sound and vibration

God these guys were so fucking good!! This man was a channel like no other🙏 Hundreds of songs, 1 after another, every single one pretty much, capable of creating a conscious mind in the listener, and never a repeat. Not only all that but also a sound like no other band on the planet. Genre transcending. Oh did I mention he was probably the second best rapper on the planet lol. Vaughns name and message will go down in history along with the buddhas, the christ, selassie, Lao Tzu, seneca, so on and so forth. He was this era's great teacher. For anyone listening who may have just discovered midnite. Their first album is called "unpolished" if you'd like to go back to the beginning. And the band akae beka is his band after this.
