The ditsy floral dress looks super cute on you but if you're having doubts, return it! You want a closet with clothes you'll reach for and if it's not an "absolutely yes!" when you try it on, you probably won't reach for it. (at least this is the advice I always get when I'm trying to decide on a purchase)

I have big chest and I feel I have a difficult time with blouses like the green lace one because there is a weird line that I think is supposed to go under the boobs and is never there for me. The dress is a yes!

Affordability completely matters, but if the clothing is not essential I do think the one thing we can do as consumers is not give our money to the corporations that are doing wrong and give them more power to lobby and fight systemic changes. We have a responsibility to not bolster demand and to shop secondhand whenever possible, which is also more affordable.

I would love that too, I have a really hard time with influencers promoting fast fashion because while yes not everyone can afford more sustainable options I personally think advertising a fast fashion company to people you have influence over isn’t very ethical either 😅

while i am loving the clothes try on, all i want is to listen to your little man chatting away! he sounds absolutely adorable ❤ edited to add: keep the purple dress!! i have overalls from Amazon that are longer than capris but not long pants, cotton/linen blend, super comfy when its hot! I have 4 pairs! I wear them with a long line sports bra (essentially a crop top) and Birkenstock sandles. They are my favorites when its hot out. Best part-less than $25/pair. Ive had black ones for 3 years now and they are still in great condition! i think you would love them after seeing the overalls you tried on!! ❤

Not a judgement on the fast fashion kids clothes, because I totally get it. But would also 100% recommend thrifting for your kids! Probably 80-90% of my kids clothes are thrifted. Because kids outgrow clothes so quick I’ve found that there are often nice brands that are barely worn. Consignment sales are also an awesome option. In CA, there’s something called Just Between Friends consignment sales that happen every few months and it’s just like a warehouse or event center full of clothes organized by size.

In the next few years the stickers will come in handy for August, it’s a great distraction for him when you need him focused on something like if/when you decide to have another child you can put stickers in a special basket that is only brought out when you’re breastfeeding the little bub, its a nice quiet activity for a 2yr old to do beside you that feels special cause everyone loves peeling stickers (I recommend a sticker book or laminated cardboard to stick onto)

Tbh, don't keep the dress. Obviously, it looks good, but if you are unsure of the breast area it will distract you while wearing it. Also having a 100% polyester dress kinda seems like the opposite of what you'd want in warm weather as it will probably make you more sweaty and sticky

I started buying from Cider this year and love it so far. I own the overalls too. Also have two pairs of shorts, two pairs of pants, and a skort. I have trouble finding bottoms that fit just right on me and all of Ciders do. I've not been sucessful with tops yet though.

I bought one Cider dress. The print is so beautiful, the fabric, also feels cheep-it's polyester (surprise!). The top seems slightly too large for me too. The worst part it that is needs ironing all the time, but the cute print might be worth it! You look great in the items you choose. You could always get some altering done to make the clothes a perfect fit for your body.Personally I might only actually alter a higher quality clothing piece, but it's an option to consider.

the purple dress looks great on you! my rule of thumb is i don't keep something that makes me question if i feel good, so i suggest you follow that in whichever direction it takes you! i personally don't like buying from places i can't visit in person (unless it IS a small business/ethical and/or sustainable thing; there are exceptions to every rule!). i just have such strong sensitivities and if i have to guess at what a product might feel like or how it will "wear," im out 🥵 fast fashion is very nuanced and has burned me one too many times

Ive carried out research in biomaterials and polymer chemistry. Biodegradable means NOTHING. Compostable is a protected and legally defined term. Technically everything is biodegradable, your laptop, plastic bags etc. because there is no designated time frame for degradation into the constitute elements.
