I find a laugh in almost every episode. The way the actors do it is amazing!

Much better with Nettles. The whole program took a sharp downturn when he left.

@@BobCollinsSTEPcoach I often feel that even if they used today's storylines, only they had John Nettles in the role again, I would enjoy it far more. Nettles had such a gravitas, an aura and a classy, old school way about him, that even a silly storyline could be elevated.

Loved Midsomer Murders in the John Nettles era. Nowadays not so much. Too much pc ethnic box ticking.
