The bassist really knows what he's doing. Great! Cool arrangement and performance anyway. The singer sounds like singing the cover version by Patti LuPone...Played over a Kinks arrangement. Cool to hear this.

The School of Rock program introduces these kids to a wide range of music, learning it and getting them on stage to play it. According to US radio, the Kinks only wrote two, maybe three songs. these kids know better.

Nope...they failed. Why is it that the privileged kids from wealthy families who always seem to be playing in these school of schlock things, seem to be covering/mutilating a alarming amount of Heroin fueled bands & music from the seventies & early eighties? Anytime now I'm expecting to watch a painful rendition of Lou Reed's "Waiting for the man" or "Sally can't dance anymore"... Lmfao

What a fuckin' knob. You have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to these kids and their "privilege." You're the elitist snob decreeing "I do not approve." As if anyone fucking cares.

I don't know why everybody seems to assume that anybody who goes to a music school is from a wealthy family. I've met dozens of _School of Rock_ parents, and most of them are middle class. School of Rock is actually one of the least expensive music education programs around, especially considering how much education they get for the monthly fee. For instance, every kid gets a weekly 45 minute private lesson, plus a weekly 3-hour group rehearsal. It's 14 and 1/2 hours of education for a couple of hundred dollars a month. Find anybody, any place, that offers a better deal! Also, every school I've known offers scholarships if it's a financial hardship. For instance, one of my favorite families at the Chicago _School of Rock_ is a sister and two brothers, and the family only pays for one of the kids. Of course this butthead is never going to respond because that doesn't fit into his obnoxious preconceptions.

@@MidWestConcertVideo2 Very well said. We are very far from a wealthy family but if your child is seriously into learning how to make/play music they become very focused on that one outlet. They’re not interested in video games, hanging at the mall or sports stuff. A family realizes monthly savings there which kick over. Also, instruments and amps today are very affordable for far less money than 20 years ago. We were able to swing it and I’m disabled. It’s also money that your kid appreciates you spending on them bc of the fulfillment it brings! My daughter eventually became an intern at SoR helping younger kids out during the rehearsals. She also got good enough and experienced enough to play Friday’s & Saturday night’s with a vocalist (forming an acoustic duo) that made her $250-$300 each weekend (after the split) playing regularly at local bars/restaurants and parties.
