It would be really cool if Halford would do a show with a School of Rock. It happens all the time - they call them "Guest Professors". Alice Cooper has done several, as have Jon Anderson of Yes, guitarist Earl Slick, Dweezil Zappa, Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine. *Halford* guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak has been doing week long "Mayhem in the Mountains" metal guitar camps with School of Rock since 2012.

This album, Sad Wings of Destiny was released on March 26th 1976. I discovered it some time around ‘78, ‘79 and now I’m watching kids keeping the origins of heavy metal alive. Don’t believe what mainstream pop music tells you. Rock and Roll is alive and well thanks to the kids. We’ll done!!

I've been a Judas Priest fan for over 35 years and this is one of my favorite songs ever. I wasn't expecting much going into this but after watching you guys play here's my feedback. OMG! You tore it apart. The lead guitarist! Mad props to you man! You do Glenn proud. The singer, Amazing! A natural, really!! There's a lot of bands out there with a young girl singer that is great but they go overboard (or underboard.) Your singer just sounds amazing by just being herself. She doesn't TRY to BE like Rob Halford. She's easy going and natural and sounds great! The rest of the band was perfect! Drums, rhythm. bass. I DID NOTICE the lead guitarist take some liberties with the solo but it wasn't bad. By the time you were that far into the song, I was sold and I into the story and essence of the song as a listener. I was never distracted once by your band's rendition of this song (which I grew up on and have heard hundreds of times). In fact, if anything, I was moved by your energy into the song. You're all awesome and true Defenders of the Faith. The highest award given to Metal Gods as yourself. I'm subscribing to you and looking forward to more amazing things from you in the future!!!

This totally blew me away man! I remember when this first came out and it has been with me through my whole life. The radio would not even play this music when it came out because it was too hard for the radio. This was absolutely beautiful to see this kids doing it. She pulled off a brave attempt at Rob Halford a great Opera singer.

I'm in tears. I'm actually in tears. I was so disappointed to learn recently that kids don't even know who Black Sabbath are anymore, and I was giving up hope for the future. But not only do these kids (at the time) know who Judas Priest is, they're actually covering them in concert ... AND doing it very f****** well! I'm so excited. I'm so happy and thankful that this happened. They did so well!! Note for note!! 😭 😭

Any kid who has been in school of rock more than a year has very likely played a Black Sabbath song. Not played it on their phone, played it on a guitar, bass, drum kit or sang it. I've got at least 35 different Sabbath covers on my channel. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHnXaoWOgcSii6s

I've seen kids start in the program as beginners, and move all the way up to the very top. And at that point, they're in the local "House Band" gigging around town, and they're helping the teachers instruct the beginners. If you can get a bunch of 8-year-olds to play a credible version of Neil Young's _Rocking in The Free World,_ you can handle anything the music business will be able to throw at you. The very best kids from all the house bands around America and the rest of the world can become AllStars.
