In college I worked at Menards in the plumbing department. Literally got asked “is this a shitty job?” Every single day by customers in the toilet aisle. Imagine having to describe flushing power to people…… if it’s a 3, you’re not gonna want to use a lot of toilet paper, if it’s a 10 you could back over the cat in the driveway and flush it and tell your kid it ran away.

I’m from the Midwest and live in rural Oregon. I miss Southern Michigan a lot but if not for football and basketball games, I’m not sure I wouldn’t go crazy. But the thing is…I’d kill myself if I had to live near NYC as compared to Omaha or St Louis or Springfield IL. It’s weird how some just can’t imagine that a big city is actually a cluttered noisy, angry, violent Hell Hole 🤔
