Between watching Steve Morris and Chief tech videos I’ve really learned a lot of little things that add up trying to achieve maximum performance from an engine. Steve and Chief both describe things in ways that anyone who is mechanically inclined can absorb and replicate. Props to Jackie, she is pretty sharp as well and definitely understands exactly what’s going on…impressed with the correlation she made with the timing related to the rear gear and torque converter. Chief and Jackie y’all are a awesome team 🤘🏼

If PTV allows... it would be interesting to see what it does installed on 110ICL than backed up 2 or 4 degrees at a time to the 118ICL it was. My suspicions are the way it was installed on a 118 the Intake valve close event was more than the motor was asking for even for 8500RPM. From what i learned you get to a point where the "port stalls" and you cant fill it any longer and continuing to laten the IVC event nets no gain. I call it saturating the port. Obviously rpm/bore/stroke piston speed also play roll but if a heads only gonna move what it can move no point holding the door open longer, unless ofcourse your really trying to midigate cylinder pressures for other reasons LOL. Good video!-Bobby

I think it's more relative to time. A lot of guys with crazy time frames don't allow for them to build, or they just don't know how. To some, they don't get their "high" doing it like we do. But in my line of work, if they all did, what would I do everyday of my life? Lol.
@chrisbismarck1405 Жыл бұрын
@@jrdmotorsports9718 I get it but if you look back at the SO show how many of those guys ran the same combination from the first season to his last and was consistently at the very top besides chief. @jrdmotorsports9718 Жыл бұрын
@@chrisbismarck1405 I would file that more under dedication. Can't really go by what the show chose to air on whether or not he was the only building stuff, but it takes a Metric Fuck ton to get those cars down unprepared pavement, way more than just the engine combination, and although I applaud him for doing his own stuff, it's the overall dedication that does it... and I don't think anyone else had or has the amount he does, regardless what engine program and who builds it. It takes a dedicated person to see dedication and know when they see it. Wouldn't matter if he didn't actually build the combination or if he just maintains someone else's, dedicated to winning is all that matters. What I like is, he doesn't just throw money at shit and expect to fix shit, like most do. That's where experience comes in.
