I love reading memoirs by drs, nurses and midwives the book Hard Pushed was such a good read and when I was in college I had a part time job and also did paid surveys online too maybe a good option to add in! 🙌💖

I’m thinking of becoming a midwife after my stillbirth in April 2021. I’ve always wanted to become a midwife and losing my little boy at 37 weeks has confirmed this for me. If you ever need to speak to someone who has been through the sadder side of birth I’m more than happy to talk!!xoxo

It is a very big decision and it’s important to remember that you aren’t expected to know what you want to do❤️ I would look into the role of the midwife and have a read about what responsibilities they have and maybe weigh up your options with anything else you are considering then that way you have looked at multiple options and gone with your heart and gut on which one to take! Let me know if you have any questions x

@@hannah.j4083 school were so useless, im 19 and ive been out of school for 2 years now, i originally wanted to do vet nursing but couldn't get the work experience or the grades for it. So i took some time off and and worked and saved money, now im thinking i would love to do something medical that makes a difference and i think i would like midwifery for the semi structure that i provides but i just dont want to make the wrong choice and regret it and waste money

Great video my lovely, I’m waiting for my interview fingers crossed all goes well! I have a 2 year old and so worried about feeling overwhelmed with the work load and feeling I’m neglecting my time with him. The amount of times I keep contemplating withdrawing is crazy. Feel like I’m fighting a battle with myself. Did you struggle with negative thoughts before starting the course? I need to give myself a kick up the bum and realise in the long run this will benefit myself and my family. Sorry for the rant🤦🏻♀️😂 Ps really enjoy your videos they are very informative x

Hi lovely!! Thankyou for your kind words they mean a lot❤️ and it’s completely normal to have those thoughts! I had multiple times before I started just breaking down thinking I wouldn’t be able to do it but trust me life has a funny way of just working out for the things you want the most, don’t dwell on the negative thoughts and focus on the positive ones! It is overwhelming, I think it’s down to the massive change that comes with it but that battle with yourself will become easier when you start to fight the negative thoughts and replace them with positive affirmations ❤️ no need to apologise we all need a rant sometimes!! X

I want to be a midwife but I’m scared that there’s no room to progress into something bigger in the career But is obgyn not the same?
@sophiecharlson3 жыл бұрын
I’m my opinion there is progression in midwifery, there are senior and specialist roles and you can even go private or work independently I think there are so many different avenues! I couldn’t comment on the similarity of obgyn as I’m not sure 😊x

Do you have any tips etc. To find bank work ? I’ve looked all over the internet and find it very hard to find any maternity care assistant jobs especially bank jobs ❤️ xx
@sophiecharlson3 жыл бұрын
Hey! So I had alerts set on my NHS jobs so that whenever a bank job came up I was notified! MCA jobs come so infrequently and go so quickly so it helped to have the notifications on! However with my job a bank position wasn’t advertised I simply spoke to my senior in the pharmacy about a transition onto a bank contract and was able to make it happen, may be worth looking at other places that offer weekends or flexible hours? Xx😘
