Honestly, something very inexpensive that I can always use more of are cheap towels. I use them when I paint minis and put them underneath my painting setup. I was born in Glasgow and moved to London when I was 4. For the last 30+ years I have suffered with a terrible affliction, I speak to my family with a Scottish accent and everyone else with an English accent. My brothers and sister do it too and until today I didn’t think another soul on the planet did the same thing. Penny switching from Scottish to English and back again mid sentence is something that happens to me all the time. It freaks out all of my friends and makes life really difficult whenever I meet Scottish people because I can’t help switching to a Scottish accent even when I’m with friends or work colleagues who haven’t experienced my bilingual disposition.
