I honestly can't believe more channels haven't done speed painting videos. The problem that 99.995% of people in the hobby face is too many minis and too little time to paint. Tutorials like this help get more painted minis to the table. Great job!

I agree and I love these speed painting videos. Sure, some of my models I want to spend hours on to look their best, but the majority of my stuff I just want to get to the table and look halfway decent. These speed painting videos are perfect for that and I can't wait to see what else comes out of this channel.

I totally agree i play warhammer 40k for 2 years now and i couldn't finish any army past 2 troops and 1 HQ because painting them took to long and now i have seen how quick black legion can be painted i am sold and really want it done before oktober when me and my friends make a trip to warhammerworld.
@Corey916664 жыл бұрын
@Gareth they dont look bad although i would probably do a few things differently. however them done like this in a reasonable amount of time and effort will lead to a fully painted project and will be a much better experience then trying to paint a whole army on too high standards to finish.

I love these videos and the channel, but quite a few people paint for the sake of painting, which may be why there aren’t many speed painting videos, as some people enjoy painting and spend hours on it

Just want to say how much I'm enjoying this series. Its great to come across little tricks and techniques that can get these models ready for Blackstone Fortress as quickly as possible. In the interest of speed, might I recommend painting the adversaries in the order in which they can appear in the game. For example, I think the starting line up is Spindle Drones, Ur-Ghul's, Traitor Guardsmen and Negavolt Cultists. All others crop up later on in the adventure. Just an idea! You have a new subscriber either way :)

Hey Midwinter, just wanted to say keep up the great work guys, your ambull video popped up on my suggested feed and I ended up coming to this video, fantastic! just in time for the new chaos wave of releases and I want to take a shot at painting Black Legion, but I've always hated highlighting black. What's best about your videos is you explain every step in detail so they're accessible to not only veteran painters but also new painters, I've been painting for years but always steered clear of predominantly black schemes, but your simple to follow instructions have really helped, I'd have never thought to drybrush then go into a wash to dull it down, instead i've been murdering myself with edge highlighting, similarily mixing gold and silve to make a nice muted looking gold helps give that unique look to the trim. Subbed, and keep up the great work mate.

Love these painting guides, But can you try for your flesh, Base with Rakarth Flesh, then wash with Druchii Violet wash. Then go over with Rakarth flesh on the raised parts and use Pallid Wych Flesh as a last hightlight. You can also use Druchii Viotet on the red, it lifts the red, then you use the red again and highlight with an orange. I always learn something knew from your videos. love the brass on the trim of the marines

Good idea, but I tried to just use the same 14 paints for all the models in this series, so I don't have room for 2 flesh tones unfortunately and a dedicated purple shade, we just have to mix our own :)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that paints black by drybrushing grey over black and washing it to darken it down.
