International Day of the Midwife, crazy cat lady, speed cleaning and chats! What a weekly!! Links and plinks below!
Pre-order Wilde Women - amzn.to/2V0Blvy
Baby Basics - / babybasicsnorthampton
Just wanted to say, apologies if it sounded like I was cutting the ladies off, I was feeling really nervous vlogging because I knew people and I felt a little unsettled, it wasn't because I wanted to! You'd think after all these years I'd be better at whipping a cam out in front of an audience but alas, it's still a hurdle haha!
Sands - bit.ly/2H0CIFG
Although I spent time talking with the ladies at the SANDS stand, I deliberately decided not to vlog it as I knew it would be a very sensitive subject for some people and hoped this would be the right way to respect that. They are an incredible organisation and I have a lot of admiration for what they do.

About Me ::
Hi, I'm Louise! I started this channel in 2009 after readers of my blog (also called Sprinkle of Glitter) suggested I give KZbin a try. I was instantly hooked and have found my internet playground on here. I make videos about beauty & fashion, positive living, motherhood, lifestyle and occasionally have special guests (friends, kittens or my sweet Daughters Darcy, 8 and Pearl, 17 months). Hit the subscribe button to never miss a video again!
I try to upload every Wednesday at 5pm and Sunday at 9am!
I chat every day on my other social media (linked above) so do come and say hi!
Big hugs,
Louise xxx

Ah Louise! What a lovely thing to watch as I got ready to go and work a 12 hour shift as a student midwife. You’re right - being a midwife is a wonderful job. It was always my dream but it took my marriage breaking down to give me the push I needed to go back to uni and retrain... now here I am, three months off qualifying! I delivered three babies yesterday - let’s see what today has in store!

Wow. Your talk to the midwives was so incredible! I’m always astounded that you can feel so nervy and fluttery yet stand on that stage and speak so eloquently and thoughtfully. Also, I think it’s fantastic that you didn’t shy away from the negative details. It must have been intimidating to share that story and your feelings with the people and department that were actually involved in making you feel that way. But, this is a learning experience for them and you sharing your story helps another woman to not feel the same way you did. I just hands down think you are amazing. I hope you feel proud! 🤗💕

I'm so happy for you that you've had such a huge turn around mentally and physically between your two births! Thank you for sharing your stories and how you used different resources to improve your experience giving birth. (Also, I often feel fluttery going into the hospital and I'm a nurse!) Thanks for being so wonderful!!! ❤❤❤

I got absolutely teary listening to your talk Louise. And I am only 21 and haven't had a baby. It was just so incredibly worded and I am sure every midwife in that room appreciated your words and was reminded of how much of an impact their job has on other women. I have positive faith that if I ever have a baby I will ensure the process is dignified, and it wasn't until I followed you and your process that I realised this was a thing and is possible. (PS I have been watching your videos since I was 13 - thanks for the incredible journey). xxx

This might sound silly, but I’d really love a video on how to tell the cats apart and what they are each like personality wise etc! ❤️ Edit: Also, I was super stressed trying to do an assignment for my certificate study I’m currently doing and my girlfriend said “why don’t you watch KZbin, watch Louise to calm down” and luckily there was video up. Thanks Louise. 💖💖 Edit upon Edit: We can definitely tell when you’re relaxed and happy (or not). I’ve found following moon cycles lately has really helped me handle my ups and downs and my energy levels, and it might sound silly but it’s giving me some good structure!! Definitely Pinterest it. 😊 We love you so much. We’re here for your “boring” content! 🥰

Thank you for sharing your beautiful birth story Louise, it's really wonderful to share a positive birth story with midwives and students, it really gives us the strength to carry on and reminds us why we do what we do. Really needed this after the shift I just had. Thank you xxx

I could watch them for hours and hours, all 5 of them are adorable, well behaved, loved and lovingly purr machines 💕💕💕😻😽 (I wish I could burry my face in at least one of their velvety coats...) It’s 3:20 a.m., don’t know how I stayed awake that long tonight. Thank you for another delightful weekly, have a wonderful week ahead! 👍✌️😘💕

I personally love the new weekly! But perhaps a way to kind of compromise without having to film more days would be to have a “weekly wrap up” where you briefly mention some of the cool things that happened in the week at the beginning of each weekly vlog. Of course this is all up to you and what you share is more than enough, but I just had a thought that this could be the best of both worlds

Hi Louise, thanks for including your experiences with consultant led care in your talk to the midwives and this video. I also have a high BMI and feel I have received a ridiculous amount of negativity from the consultant, in the early weeks it felt like I was being told I was going to fail. I'm now 33 wks and have been preparing for birth by hypnobirthing. It was a great source of comfort to watch you talk about how you handled your consultant and it's given me the fortitude to keep going on my own path and to expect the best of myself, it's so rare to find anyone who will talk about high BMI and consultant led care! Xxx

Don't know why this makes me so emotional 😩 I've never had a baby and don't particularly want one but I have a nephew and my best friend has a baby and I work in obstetric theatres and seeing and hearing midwives stories and charities set up for newborns and struggling families just gets me, these little sausages are so perfect and innocent and don't ask to be born on this earth the least we can do is make sure they have a safe journey here and that they are loved and cared for! Hope that makes sense, lovely video Louise ❤️

What a fantastic talk you gave, absolutely loved it. You should consider being a midwife/midwife assistant for pregnant ladies who have been through trauma, you would be a natural. I had a traumatic time having my son, from 34 weeks in hospital with pre eclampsia, 37 1/2 weeks induced but kept failing... Eventually worked at 38.1, got to 9 1/2 cm after a quick intense labor but had to be rushed off for a c section.... horrendous. I don't want anymore because of what I went through. Pnd and PTSD soon followed. Hell of a lot better now, son is 2 1/2 and a Joy to be around. Thanks for this video xxx

Louise, has it occurred to you that it’s YOU that makes the vlogs enjoyable? It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, it’s you we come here for...your wit, your stories and how just how gorgeously relatable you are 😊😊

Louise, you're the only person I regularly watch all of their videos. Your content is real and relaxing to watch. I like that you don't put on a show like a lot of the other people on here. Keep doing your thing, it's amazing! 😊

Happy Sunday😘. Great vlog and that opening sing a long was magnificent! Can I also say Paula seems like a sweetheart and although I’ve heard you talk about Darcy’s birth before, it still made me cry. I can’t relate because I had a planned c section that was very easy but hearing you say you felt like a piece of meat made me cry. You are so brave to talk about your experience. You spoke so well at the convention and hopefully provided a lot of insight to the medical professionals. Such a well spoken, funny, honest and brave woman you are Louise 💖🇦🇺

Another lovely video Louise to watch whilst I'm having my lunch on a grey Sunday! Such a funny and uplifting video! Love what you do, would love to see a bed time bath time bonus video but on the end of next week's vlog is also fine - whatever you have time to fit in this week!

What a fun surprise to get this before I even WENT TO BED! I watched this with my own cat purring away on my lap - what a dream! Also, a bonus bedtime/bathtime video would be GREAT!
