Next time baking tips: 1. If you can't find scales, Google the conversion into cups or spoons. This will help you be more accurate. 2. Using multiple of you paper loaf tin liners at once will give a lot more structural integrity. Use 4 or 5 in a stack! Or just put it all in muffin trays. You will just need to cook it less but will taste just as good! 3. If anything is drippy or you worried it might drip, put a full baking sheet on the rack below. This will catch all the drips and you can clean easier. 4. Things don't continue to rise at the same rate that whole time. Your loaf was getting solid on the outside so I don't think it would have dripped any more and would only have risen a bit further. Good luck!

Omg the baking segment was pure gold 😂 I love you 😂 On the next shopping trip, new scales - guessing rarely works out unless you are a seasoned cook or someone's Grandma. Second - if the shop doesn't have the tin shape you want look in the silver foil takeaway section they usually have the long oblong shape OR get a deeper roasting tin, fill it then when it's baked cut it into 2 oblongs OR do muffins instead. All that said, it wouldn't of been as entertaining ❤😂

Gosh, that baking segment was so stressful. 😅 Imo, you're right: measure your ingredients properly, use the right size tin and also cream your butter and sugar more thoroughly (using a mixer). I always enjoy your videos and your warmth and humour - thank you!

Hi lovely Louise! Just wanted to say, thank you for leaving this baking segment in - I'm glad you didn't get discouraged and leave it out. Also, the paper liners are actually intended to be put inside of the bread loaf baking tray. So you'd need to buy the tray separately and insert the liners, then pour the batter into the liner from there. The liners aren't strictly necessary for baking (you can always grease the pan if there aren't any liners at hand), but they serve two purposes: to make the baked product easier to lift out of the tray/pan, and aesthetics :) Hope this helped!

You need a proper loaf tin and the way we normally make banana cake is by measuring each ingredient in a mug. E.g 1 mug of soft butter, 1 mug of sugar, flour, etc for the eggs we say two medium eggs. Or if its a big mug then 3 eggs. Our banana cake comes out perfectly 👌. Throw in some chocolate chips too 😊
@cupcakeliz161511 ай бұрын
Oh Louise! You do make me smile! ❤ you need to measure your cake ingredients, it is actually a science!🤣 you need a loaf tin, or two! And you should have just put another tray underneath the ‘cake’ to catch the drips and just carried on with it! I am sure it would have been delicious! 🤤

The honesty and realness of the baking segment was gold. I often feel stressed I’m a rubbish ‘baker’ but I found the idea of everything being ‘an experiment’ was a freeing idea and so if it totally fails then that is the successful outcome of the experiment. I’m also here for the double washing segment at the end. As an editor myself I know the feeling!! Made me feel seen!! Thanks for the giggles and smiles :)

Oo! Makeup on collars can be removed with surgical spirit. You pop a little on a cotton pad and just wipe the collar. You don’t have to rinse it, just leave it to dry. Nancy Birtwhistle from the Great British Bake off taught me that one! She has so many helpful natural cleaning tips. ❤

You are just brilliant Louise god I love you 😂 FYI Folding is the art of doing a folding motion with the mixture rather then just mixing as that adds air and this makes your bake light and fluffy. Your right not to wear makeup in the bath the steam cleans your pores if you have makeup on it will clog them up.
