LOVE LOVE LOVE my Miele CM5500! We just entertained an extra 13 people in our home over the holidays and it worked like a champ, giving everyone his favorite drink. I love its easy maintenance and the ability to tweak drinks to suit your preferences. Great machine!

It is not only hours. You select the hours and it switches to the minutes. So 9 hours and 45 minutes is the max because it moves in 15 minute intervals.

Greets from Germany. Cant believe what i see. CM 5300 can brew Coffee Americano? In Germany there isnt such a point in the settings.... Is it possible to make Americano with the 5300?

I really like your reviews, thank you! However I regret buying this machine, as it is too much maintenance... It keeps giving messages for degreasing, descaling, let alone emptying the container every other time we make coffee. I wish I could get something less sophisticated. At this point it seems that we all serve this machine vs the machine serving our needs. Like I said - too much maintenance. And we have had this only for 2 months.

Since the liquid comes out of both spouts, can you put 2 cups underneath, one on each side?

Yes, you just have to press the "two cups" button and then it will make 2 drinks at the same time

Scary to see what some people will pay for an automated electric kitchen machine that makes a cup of coffee. I just enjoy the fun of manually making a cup of coffee with a simple aluminum Moka pot. But then I guess other people will say they are just happy with tearing a sachet of Nescafe and pouring that in to a cup of hot water too ......... (◐.̃◐) I think it is fun though to be able to do things manually. Kind of like an old fashion way like fishing with a piece of string and hook tied to a long straight branch of bamboo rather than an electric rod that will cast and pull in the fish all on its own... ?

I do manual grinding with French press time to time. But that's the thing, sometime you don't have the time for that (。_。) That's when an automatic coffee maker are useful, good quality coffee in no time.
