Hey everyone hope this review and demonstration helps everyone who is about to buy a new machine make the right decision! While these machines are very expensive they are definitely worth buying imo especially now a days with all brands having a MASSIVE drop in quality. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can 👍🏻

@@lglover8699 you do realise this is my review of my experience with my machine right? I get you didn’t like yours in the end even though you went on about how great my new Miele would be when I revealed I purchased it. I’ve had no issues with mine removing stains heck I literally showed the machine cleaning stains off in the demonstration. I also done a 1:15 quickpowerwash 60 with twindos on and a towel that was covered in curry came out without a mark on it

@@vittopo786 I don’t stick to only using one detergent I use all brands particularly the likes of Ariel, daz etc and also use mieles own detergent now which is absolutely amazing. The Miele washes perfectly with detergents that perform well of course if the detergent is awful it won’t wash well. Beko have really REALLY good wash performance even on shorter cycles from my experience with them it’s beko’s quality of the current range of machines that’s the issue and it gets worse the higher the spec is for the machine which you wouldn’t expect when you pay £500 for a top of line model :(

I have the same model, but the US version, I just have it a couple of weeks. I really like it. You did a great job explaining everything. I noticed that in my detergent cup, we have for powder and for liquid. There's a piece you remove when you wanna put in powder. Otherwise you leave it in if you use liquid detergent but I use the twin dose I find it works great.

Hi great demonstration, just for all you out there, we are just upgrading our old Miele washing machine, it needs repairs and we thought that we would rather put the money to a new Miele machine as the new models have larger capacities and more wash cycles. For reference our old machine is 33 years old, so I can absolutely say that the machine will last the 20 years, not only that when we contacted Miele they still had parts to repair the old machine. To me there is no better machine than Miele. Although the initial cost is more than a competitor, over the life of the machine that cost will be less, plus less breakdowns or other issues.

@@WimHulpia really appreciate your comment :) I could be wrong as I wouldn’t really use the app much but I don’t think you can add favourites to it unfortunately. However it does tell you your 5 recently used cycles which I think you can start straight away from the app and the machine itself also has a memory option in the settings menu I’m pretty sure. I can’t remember of the top of my head if it still has it as 1 or a few minor things where removed from the settings menu when it was updated but it was definitely there before the machine had its software updated a few months ago. If they still have it with that turned on the machine will remember what temperature and options you last used for each program on the machine so that could be handy if you tend to just stick to the one cycle or use different cycles for only 1 type of load :)

You are correct about the conditioner caps. I made the mistake of buying 6 boxes of assorted fabric conditioner caps. I only used a few of them and within a couple of months the rest had become so thick and congealed that they were unusable. They were just sat on a shelf above the washer, not stored in a damp environment or anything. I rang Miele to complain and was told they have to be stored somewhere dark and cold or used within a few weeks. I will not be buying any more of them. They are overpriced for what they are anyway.
@Washerboy2006
@Washerboy2006 Жыл бұрын
Exactly they’re such a waste of money and it’s awful how thick they go in such a short time. The Miele ultra soft softener is the exact same as the softener that’s in Mieles aqua caps and it’s much better. it doesn’t get thick at all and is such better value considering it has enough softener for 50 washes and a box of aqua caps only have enough for 9 WASHES! Plus it’s only a few pounds more

Thanks for the comment! The machine doesn’t have the ‘finish in’ feature on the machine itself you can only pick the time for it to start at or have it start within a period of time with the smartgrid function so it’ll start when it gets a signal that the electricity is cheaper. pretty sure the only ones that have finish in on the machine is m touch models now. Siemens is a good choice. I haven’t used a newer model myself but have heard a lot of good stuff on them. I have an AEG 8000 Series and really like it it premixes detergent and softener and has a lot of flexibility with its cycles. No other machine makes my clothes smell the way it does I really like it.

I've got a few machines so far, the new Siemens IQ700 series, which is very silent with the inverter pump, but the programs were not great at all. Also the built in drum light was useless. With some bedsheets, I noticed the frame warped while spinning (even though the machine was 83kg). Definitely much worse than Miele in terms of build quality, I sent it back. My parents have the W1 machine without PowerWash but with TwinDos, I really like the Miele's (especially the dishwashers are best in class). Which I ended up with was the Asko W2096 with Pro Wash (recirculation pump). The first thing I noticed was the pump, it's one of those AC ones with the chug-chug noises, quite loud compared to the Siemens, but comparable to an entry-level W1 machine. Overall the machine is quite loud. However, the washing performance shocked me compared to the Miele of my parents, the machine holds RPMs (1600 f.e.) for a crazy long time (over 8 minutes), it balances great and you can let it use a lot of water. Lots of programs too (23). The dryness and overall cleaning of the clothes was really amazing, I think mainly due to the old fashioned drum design with huge (and a lot of) holes. I've also started to add bleach water now to try to get that TwinDos stain cleaning haha

Maybe its useless that i say this but, however i love the twindose detegent, it will damage your machine. If you don't take off the back panel to clean the bottom every month it will cost you your bottom. Its because the ultra phase 2 is bleaching detergent that will eat the rubber round thats in the pipes of the twindos. I had this problem with my first machine, after a few months after buying i decide to open the backpanel just out of curiosity how its build inside and i was shocked by what i saw on the bottom, the bottom plate was rusty because of the u.p2... So since then i use just normal detergent and no leaking anymore :) its a pity cause u.p is extreme good detergent... My advice to you is to once and a while check the bottom@@Washerboy2006

I am not a particular fan of Miele when it comes to design, although it looks very well built. I've had a very bad experience with another "high-end" washing machine over the last few months - AEG 7000 Series Lavamat. A complete disaster and a total waste of money. It is squealing and squeaking during the entire cycle. One would say it's a 10 or even 15 years old washer. In fact it is 3 months old. So disappointed with AEG. I know Miele are quite expensive and not everyone could afford it. But to me it is one of the brands left, probably alongside Bosch's Serie 8 washers, with solid quality and long-term reliability. Everything else is a crap. Thank you for the good review!

Jeez that’s awful I was very close to getting a new generation AEG 8000 series with the pods dispenser and WiFi then decided on this Miele in the end as the aeg couldn’t be delivered to me due to how new it was at the time (still very few places have it in stock) think I potentially dodged a bullet and feel like the Miele suits my needs better. Miele and Bosch are the only brands I’d buy from now too the quality has dropped so rapidly on everything it’s crazy 🫣

Hi, thank you for this great video! I was wondering what happens if you have max rinse level turned on and you also select water + at the same time. In this case, does it only add water in the main wash? Or is the water + function not available when max rinse is turned on? Also, does it do powerwash if max rinse level is selected? I know powerwash is turned off if you select water +… And lastly, does turning off controlled energy consumption effect water levels?

So if I got a none twindos model would my money be well spent. And does power wash work on full load or only on medium or small loads? And how would I be able to turn off power wash 2.0
@Washerboy2006
@Washerboy2006 Жыл бұрын
Yes it would be as long as you don’t have very low water pressure. While they have their cons like all machines I love mine. Mine is almost a year old and haven’t had any issues with twindos if it’s maintained regularly it would be fine. Powerwash 2.0 works mainly on small,medium loads however I believe it will attempt to use it with bigger loads. Powerwash itself works no matter the load size on all cycles. To turn off PW 2.0 you have to go into programming mode and turn off controlled energy consumption

Since it reduced the time to 1:11 anyway, would Quick have reduced it further? Great videos! Miele washer fan here but the US models don’t have Quick, Intensive, and the Consumption doesn’t work!
@Washerboy2006
@Washerboy2006 Жыл бұрын
No unfortunately quick is 1:18 and is set at that so won’t adjust time on it at all :) I never use cottons quick on it as the rinses are WAY too short so much so it doesn’t fill up to proper level with my water pressure but cottons normal when it detects a half load is a much better cycle. How do I turn off the powerwash? It’s okay when washing in cold but when washing in warm water it’s so eco friendly I can’t stand it. It just sprays the clothes in an empty drum, often draining the water with the detergent in it out before the main wash phase even starts. Do you just enable water plus to avoid this? I used to enable water plus and it would turn it off. However my machine never recalculates the time like yours did to 1 hour and 11. My cycle times always take 2:39 on a cottons cycle with just cold selected. Are you able to help me tweak it? I do like on coke cottons it uses 75-90L versus cotton water plus using 126L a load so I don’t want to make it use too much water. However I do want it to automatically adjust the time for the smaller loads to speed up laundry days. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I have the passion model with the touch screen. I think the next one up? I will say, my machine is terribly sensitive and always unbalancing. Rarely ever reaches 1600. Always reduced or aborts final spin leaving me with wet clothes. I’m on my third machine in 2 years with them breaking down. Would never own Miele again but if I can get it washing a bit faster it might make me feel a little bit less angry toward it haha. Thanks people 😊

@@sekoflex8127 hey what would you wash your whites on? We wash our whites separately and on a hot 60°C wash with powder so they stay nice and white. Lower temperature washes and liquid detergent can cause them to go grey after some time but know Mieles twindos has a bleaching agent where as normal liquid wouldn’t have that and the bleaching agent helps keep them white. Automatic smart water inlet? I’ve been through the extensive programmable settings menu service technicians know about myself and turned off a setting called controlled energy consumption and that definitely makes it wash better as it deactivates a feature called powerwash 2.0 and makes it wash in a proper amount of water but there isn’t such a thing as automatic smart water inlet on them :) I think that powerwash 2.0 feature can cause the likes of that to happen though as it literally uses a tiny spit of water and pumps it onto the load every now and then to wash them.
