mifold Booster Seat Review | Best Hack for Carpool & Travel with Kids!

If you travel with kids, run carpool, take taxis with kids, need to squeeze 3 kids across in a car, then you need to know about mifold, the world's smallest booster seat! For kids at least 4 years old, 40-100 pounds, 40-59 inches, it can literally be a life saver - allowing you to easily carry around their booster seat in a backpack and set it up in a jiffy, rather than quickly "risk it" jumping in a taxi with nothing at all. hi... is it legal to use it for daily routine? in the city or out of town driving?

you'll have to check your local regulations but as far as I know it's legal everywhere except Australia or Taiwan and recommended only for ages 4+, 40-100lbs and 40-100" tall. Their website mentions "Meets or exceeds NHTSA standard FMVSS 213 in the USA and is regulated for use in every country except Australia and Taiwan." Curious as to why, I did a quick Google search and got "Booster cushions (without a back) were removed from the Australian Child Restraint Standard in 2010 and are not recommended for use because they do not offer side or head protection in a crash." Which goes along with what mifold says... a full car seat or high back booster should always be your first choice. but Mifold is a great alternative when lugging a huge car seat or booster just doesn't make sense i.e. taxi / travel / carpool etc.

Even if it's legal to use, better safer to get a full booster seat, whether backless booster or high back booster.
