You’re rare ! I love how you embrace the chaos and just film with your babes instead of waiting for nap time or someone to watch babe

Wait that background noise feature on your phone?!!! GENIUS! Why does no one tell you that’s on there?!!! There’s nothing worse than playing rain sounds on your phone from KZbin just to be disturbed by a random ad😂😂😂

My little one protested her headphones on our flight recently so we just played the tablet on low volume, the flight attendants didn’t put a stop to it. I think everyone valued a quiet child over a screaming one.

You are my favorite mom KZbinr! Every video leaves me feeling calm and confident. You give great advice in a non-aggressive, non-judgemental way. We are planning to move to Japan when our baby is 6-7 months old, so I appreciate these plane tips!

Pro tip- in the potty that’s in your car, use scented small trash bags in the potty. So when they go just tie it up and leave the bag in the potty. No cleaning needed.

I’ve heard of putting a diaper in there too!!

We travel with the potty as well! What works for our household is traveling with a roll of toilet paper, paper towel ,all purpose wipes also dog bags! If you can pick up poop from the ground from a dog. You can pick up poop inside of a potty!😂 The dog bags are actually pretty big so all of your materials that you’ve used can go in there tie it up keep it in the back away from others.

If a bag doesn’t fit in the bottom of potty, you can lay a diaper in the bottom - collects poop and absorbs pee!

Place a size 7 diaper on the potty seat. Ours has the removable toilet part and we can tuck the ends of the diaper in there. We also buy $1 doggy bags for the diapers when done and toss at gas stations. Bag of baby wipes and also clorox wipes to sanitize seat. Prep the diaper again and its ready to go for next time.

Some airports have play areas for kids which is great if you need to let them move around for a bit before sitting. Having a bag of different snacks is also a great distraction on the plane.

I draw out a big chart too for our trips. I indicate if it’s a travel day or not and where/what we will be doing and note the outfits we will need for clothes and stuff too. I also BRING MY LIST with me so that I can pack everything up when I’m coming home and don’t forget anything at the destination.

The "my carry potty" is amazing on the road! You can easily carry it and close it. My little girl is saying "potty" at the most inconvenient times and that saved us multiple times

Car trips research parks near where you will be around meal times and picnic at the park instead of restaurant to stretch and get wiggles out. We go to the same cabin every summer and have our go to rest stops.

I don’t want to be this person but please look at the research on Amber teething necklaces. They’ve caused infant deaths and they don’t actually serve a purpose.

Hey Shayla! I love learning from your videos! I am not a mom but have been learning a lot from you as I’ve been debating if and when to have kids. Your videos have been helping me transition my fear of pregnancy and motherhood into a more positive mindset with your advice in your videos! Also I appreciate that you put your knowledge in a way that leaves it open for the viewer to feel free to make their own opinions and decisions without judgement. Thank you, well wishes and Happy New Year to you and your family!

Great video! Gosh, I am so scared to take my little boys lovey with us. But I have tried duplicates, and he knows. He KNOWS. He says "this blue bear does not smell special enough!" sigh. Yes I was the blue bear but he also has a forever stank. WISH ME LUCK Y'ALL flying with two little boys in august. Oh and rain rain is a great sound app, 10/10!

Please keep your eyes on the road, while in a car with a baby or toddler. I was so focused on book reading and entertaining my daughter, that I eventually barfed all over the backseat. 😳 So yeah, it's ok for them to also get bored.

In your opinion, what age is a good idea to start traveling with baby and not blow healthy routines out of the water? For context: international trips by air, about one week every two months, to a completely new place every time. Have done this extensively as an expat couple but are trying to nail down realistic expectations with baby #1 on the way.

I wish my little one could sit in her carseat on the plane. She loves to fly and the last time I had her in her car seat on the plane, she spent majority of the time in my lap because she was uncomfortable. I don’t blame her because the seatbelt buckle was square in the middle of her back when looped through the carseat 😓 that’s why we use the CARES harness instead and use some cabinet liner as an “anti-slip” pad for her to sit on.
