The Indian Air Force is set to retire all of its mig 21's by 2025 which is very close. Many of us feel proud of it's long and impressive service in IAF.

The fact that all the new and modernized MiG-23 and 27 were scrapped in 1994-96 instead of being sold to India at scrap prices was such a crime. If Russia can't produce reliable enough engine to be used in single engine aircraft, sell them to someone, who WOULD do proper maintenance and maybe find a supplier for more reliable engine. MiG-27K was state of the art back then. Somply a crime😢

@@flandrescarlet8040 Literaly the only diffirence is pythons. It still has the same horrible radar and horrible R3Rs. Its basicaly the lancer, except at a better BR bracket and more balanced.

@@flandrescarlet8040 Probably not balance able with Python 4s, those are 50g UV/IR missiles that can pull a full 180 and hit a target behind the aircraft. But with Python 3s it’s just a MiG-21bis with a really good but essentially useless radar, Python 3s, and HMD

​​​@@SlavaIsusu-z1q the MiG-21S has nothing to do with the Lancer, the S uses an old monopulse radar and vacuum tube electronics and a basic RWR. The Lancer gives the 21 a pulse doppler radar, digital FMC with solid state electronics, LCD MFDs, improved all aspect RWR and countermeasures

PLEASE give us era-specific matchmaking. There are SO MANY players of yours that have been around for a long time that enjoyed the times of historical battles and doing Mig's vs Sabres' Mig's vs Phantoms and so on. PLAYERS WANT THIS because we want to experience how these planes fought against each other and also DON'T LIKE OR DON'T WANT to play mixed nations furball simulator the whole time for Air RB. PLEASE make this a thing. I'm not saying you have to remove mixed battles, but please just give us another game mode for RBEC with a historical matchmaker that actually replicates history so we can use the tactics they used in history! That's why I fell in love with the game since 2013....

Also, I remember when I first played sim battles, and although the controls were weird, the gameplay was fun. I loved that battles could last for hours; the AI was engaged in combat throughout the game. Players could come and go whenever they pleased without affecting the outcome too much. I could only wonder why the hell it was not a thing in Realistic Battles. I hope they implement RB, in which victory is won by the complete seizure or destruction of airfields by both ground and air. And that way, everyone can play the game to their heart's content without the need to ‘return to the hangar’ for every loss- not only does this fix crew lock but also matchmaking times, player toxicity and much more. I grinded up to the Mig 15 and then stopped because the Mig 15... costs over 10,000 Sl in repair costs and because it constantly gets an up tier and then has to compete against missiles. That's no fun and that's why I can't make it to the Mig 21. I also think that the MIG 21 will cost a fortune in repair costs so I'm not going to bother. These repair costs ruin the fun and the Game.
