I think you have to pronounce it "Bis" instead of "B I S", but i'm not 100% sure

@@max86znt The funny thing about the Roman culture in Europe, is that it extends well past the countries that adopted "Romance" languages (French, Italian, Spanish, Romanian and Portuguese). For instance, Kaiser and Tsar are both corruptions of the name "Caesar" used to denote the royalty of said lands. This has been another: USELESS FACT. I miss Animaniacs...

There were some fixes for it included in the last update but I'm using the Beta version so I don't know if it went out to all. I'm not having any issues with the MiG-21 at the moment. There's also a GUI utility by Skatezilla that's got repair functions built into it, Cap's got a video on it somewhere. It maybe worth a look at that too as I've had no real issues with DCS since I started using it.

I know that CAP has a hard time and doesn't read comments so often due to the little time he has for us. But some critique is always good, first of all, my deepest respect that CAP is still uploading, even tho he has a really rough time with his cancer and chemotherapy. Now the critique I'd recommend to change the style of the tutorials. They aren't good to actually learn something because CAP himself has to learn it and it's slower as it should be. Most of the time others have to explain to him how to do it. That's quite unfortunate, a tutorial should have structure, a little script and knowledge.
@DavidGPT
@DavidGPT 6 жыл бұрын
I actually like them like this because since CAPs learning, it looks like im there as him and Im asking the same questions as him and theyre talking to me like if I were in a server and having a friend explaining those things to me like an instructor making it way less likely I get something wrong and if I do get something wrong (CAP would probably do too) they explain what happened making it not annoying like having to rewatch the whole thing and pausing every few seconds. But if Im familiar with it (or if I forgot how to do something) I just watch a quicker tutorial.
@Blind_Hawk
@Blind_Hawk 6 жыл бұрын
@@DavidGPT Then you've seen the wrong tutorials because every other tutorial which is structured and gives exact "orders" is much easier to watch and understand as this. Especially in the DelanClip tutorial where he isn't prepared. You can see it as he tries to gove the same curves for opentrack.

@@Blind_Hawk I disagree. Sure, many things could have been more thorough and accurate, but the questions Cap ask are definitely helping with understanding why we do things. This makes remembering the order things have to be done in easier.

Does it have nose wheel steering and auto pilot?
@TheDroppy68
@TheDroppy68 6 жыл бұрын
Steering is by Differential braking of left and right wheels (nose-wheel is kind of like a castor wheel), to turn you build up some inertia then apply brakes and rudder to direction of choice, it takes some getting used to but it's not a massive learning curve. Yes it has an auto-pilot even with an "Auto-land" feature, granted you do have to fly the last 100 meters or so, leaving you with the flare, but in really closed weather it will get you lined-up with an (RSBN - Nav mode enabled) Runway, a feature that was pretty advanced for its time. However I'm hazarding a guess that perhaps you already knew this and was having a little 'inside joke'? :-)

Thanks for the video, but honestly I don't see the point of giving yet another wrong start-up procedure, it's as wrong as the DCS one. Pilots follow the manufacturer's procedure for a good reason, safety is the first concern when you're flying an airplane. If that's for the sake of taking-off quickly, there are many switches you have taken the time to set and which are not necessary (like the battery heat and most of the right panel ones). If that's for safety you really want to set your nosecone on before starting the engine (it's actually part of the cockpit preflight checklist), and so on. In summary, this shouldn't be titled "cold start tutorial" at all because you're confusing viewers.
