Actually, 6.6" × 10 is: (3,2,1..) 66 inches per minute. ;)

Voltage and amps are related to each other; increasing voltage causes an increase in amps.. Wire speed has nothing to do with it. My understanding from other professional welders is that wire feed speed requirements is based upon the voltage setting for the thickness of the metal. Thicker metal requires higher voltage/amps. That necessitates higher wire feed speed.

out of all the welding training I have had never did the timing of the wire feed come up. Who really cares how many feet of wire you use that number has nothing to do with making a good weld. you could have no numbers what so ever on that dial just a min and max and be able to adjust it to get the feed rate you want.those numbers are there to make for easy reference

This video should be removed or severely edited! It is VERY CONFUSING! Should have stopped after wire feed for six seconds, times ten to get INCHES OF WIRE FEED PER MINUTE.

you can't even multiply by 10, why should we trust the rest of what you say? 6.6 inches in 6seconds does not give you 60.6 Inches per minute I am referring to 11:11

+James Thompson ... and at 7:52, he translates 8.1 inches of wire in 6 seconds into 81 feet per minute. There's an old saying that goes like this: "Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach." Apparently, he can do neither.

This video isn’t correct, you don’t go from short circuit to globular to spray just by changing voltage. You can’t even get into true spray without the correct gas mix.
