I love that I don't have to sow multiple seeds to improve germination. Your price point & quality is great & you still manage to have sales. You make gardening affordable for the small/home gardeners.

Seeds are the least expensive part of growing your own vegetables. Quality compost costs money. The time it takes to start the plants at home, the attention they require, the root plug trays and seed starting medium, the fertilizer, then the hours spent to 'raise' the crops is way more expensive than the seeds. Even the water bill is orders of magnitude more expensive than the seeds. It doesn't make a lot of difference if a pack of seeds is $2 or $3.50. It's the smallest expense involved in growing quality product. Seeds are an investment. If they are quality, then they are worth every penny spent on them. I spend more money on mulch than on seeds.

I share the sentiments of the person who contacted you about feeling screwed when shopping elsewhere. I have trusted you for years and believe you are fair and you care. I would place 100% of my orders with only you if you had more "southern " / zone 9 / 10 items for sale. I believe you would double your sales if you catered more to us down here. I order with the "southern" seed and product people and know there customers talk about you often and they would also buy more from you if you carried more southern items. Best wishes and thank you for being one of the few honest brokers left in this crumbling divided and selfish world.

I have grown vegetables for over 40 years and I grow for my family friends naghbors and for the food pantries. Tomato plants here are $ 8.65 I thought the price was ridiculous So I started selling vegetable plants for $ 2.00 I'll take the money and buy more seeds and sell them again this year. Companies are jumping on the bandwagon of raising their prices They think people will just pay it. I've had two businesses. You're in business to make a profit but not to steal from your customers I always had reasonable prices Word of mouth made my companies as word of mouth will and has made yours. You're a good person and it shows. Your wife has to be wonderful ❤❤

Luke I’ve been with you and your company since the beginning. Thanks to you I was able to garden during a time when I couldn’t afford to spend the $ big seed company charged. Because of you I was able to teach my, then 3 year old, grandson how to garden. NOW my daughter, grandson, and 2 granddaughters all participate in gardening. During Covid this 9 member household didn’t go hungry! Because of You! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR DISCLOSURE, I suspected it, but confirmation is appreciated. I support the little companies. As a retired pet sitter I kept my prices down more than I should have. Now that I am retired I am still friends with numerous clients. I was extremely respected and trusted. And I always gave more of myself! I am grateful for the help you give us. I bought a package of seeds that were over $4.00 for a package of 9 seeds!! And the directions said to plant heavily because germination is difficult and unreliable! Lol. Thank you for not buying into the greed like the other companies. I hope you have planted some berries somewhere in your garden! Now is the perfect time to plant blueberries, blackberries (I like thornless cultivars) and strawberries (which will grow in pots) for a small first harvest next year. Having perennial food crops in your garden is wonderful. If your soil tends to be sweet/alkaline, amend the soil with peat, wood chips, composted sawdust, and/or pine needles. Mulch well with more wood chips. Make sure you keep them moist while they develop roots these next few weeks (mulch makes that easy). Then give a light fertilizing each spring, and you have berries for life. All of these grow fairly well in part shade, too. I do stake/trellis my blackberries. The blueberries form a pretty bush, and the strawberries are an effective ground cover.

I honestly have never been able to grow a garden until I started using your seeds. My entire garden especially my tomatoes are over abundant and I am able to share with so many people! It is a true blessing. Thank you for everything you do!!! It is truly appreciated. ❤

Thankyou for explaining to us about the seed farmers and what they are getting paid from these companies. Wish I knew these companies names. But I understand more about the seed and the fertilize. I’ve noticed the dirt you get with the fillers. I like shopping with you I just have to start early because you are sold out when I’m looking for seed. So I just need to start earlier. Thank you for caring.

Wow! This was quite enlightening. To think that many of us in the gardening community are trying to grow food for health and economical reasons and we are being scammed. It’s crazy they don’t have to label everything in the fertilizer that we are buying, that the markup on garlic is 4x - pure greed. These companies have ZERO connection to human beings attached to their profit margins. I’m so glad you are shedding light on this.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Migardener, haha sorry Luke you refered to yourselves as that so I had to as well. I so love your seeds and I refer sooooo many people to your seeds and channel, Ive never had trouble with your seeds and germination and you teach us sooooo much! Thank you for sticking up for and supporting the farmers and us little people! Last summer I saw my neighbors spending so much money on plants and I told them how to start seeds. I even gave them some starts because that in turn gave me an opening to then tell them how to save seeds for next year. That makes my heart so happy and that is what I love about MIgardener, you teach us...heck even incourage us to save seeds because you send a packet that tells us to save for next year. MIgardener team you rock!!!

Luke & Cindy, Thanks for everything you do! This was my first year gardening….and I went big Lol. All of the seeds I bought were from just three companies, MIGardening being one. When reading seed packs that lack what I feel is important information, I’m instantly turned off, feeling lost with all of the conflicting information I then have to find online. I’m new to gardening so I need every little bit of information I can get in order to feel confident in my garden and my skills. That being said, I’m ALWAYS telling my husband how much I love MIG’s seed packs because they literally provide everything I need to start off on the right foot. Then, watching YOUR videos alone are enough to keep me going. I love MIG and after watching this video, I love y’all even more! Thanks for the transparency, and youve got my support always. Kim

I purchased the majority of my seeds from you this year and I was very happy. I love your morals and I will be buying from you strictly unless you are out of something from now on also I’m probably gonna buy a T-shirt because all ever talk about is gardening and I have told people where to get the seeds from and that was you. I’m in Indiana and I think we will take a road trip to buy in person for spring.

I would like to thank you for looking out for your customers. I've been trying to grow Cherokee Purple for several years with no success. Iu got an abundance this year. Trifecta works!! In my little raised bed, bucket and tote garden I get a good amount of seeds from you. However, I bought seeds for bush beans locally that turned out to be pole beans, and the third time they were black Eyed peas. That's why I ordered new kinds from you for next spring. I'll have my new beds and trellis up so I'm growing rattlesnake beans and Christmas limas. I'm 65. Nice to hear the truth but some. Ethics needs to rise again.

I’ve been a customer of MI Gardener, Luke for so many many years. His seeds have always been very good & I haven’t had to waste by sowing multiples. Also he’s very honest. I had to call the store once & they were super nice & helpful. I will continue buying from him. 😊🌺

Thanks for your honesty. I am not a reseller but I save my garlic and replant. As a small homesteader, I keep grazing animals and foul so fertilizer isn't a serious consideration. I give well-rotted manure in feed bags to anyone who asks for it because I have so much. You are beyond my favourite seed retailer and I'm a Canadian who likes buying local. I am a seed saver. I have many seeds that started from your gardens but they have been naturalized for my environment. You're not making big money from me and sorry but you do get a lot of youtube views and likes from me even though I don't comment nearly as much as I should.

Appreciate you Luke!! I'm a new gardener, 1st year with raised beds, last year I did a container patio garden. My first seed haul was so expensive because I didn't know any better and many did not even germinate or if they did, didn't make it to the garden. Then I found your seeds. Excited to get them planted. I appreciate all the knowledge and care you bring to what you do everyone you meet. God bless!!

Was an interesting and enlightening video. Some stuff I knew, some I didn't. I am north of 49th and have bought seeds from you in the past but I also try to support my local companies as well. I did make an inquiry with one of them to ask them a few questions...lol. Wise to not mention names. Thanks for sharing.

Love your seeds. I'm trying to save my own flower seeds - I hate to buy plants when I've grown them myself. But I buy your veggies, etc. They always produce well!! Thank you!

This is so helpful. I’ve only been obsessively gardening a few years, but even as a newbie, I have side-eyed the prices and quality in the categories you covered. I also won’t name names (😂), but I pretty quickly figured out that a lot of fertilizer was junk, sometimes seed brands were expensive but unquestionably underperformed next to more affordable brands, and so forth. Far and away MIGardener is the brand I trust the most. I look forward to your emails to say when products are in stock, and I always know I’ll get value from your videos. Thank you for taking care of your fellow gardeners!

A saying in Ireland „no pockets in a shroud” the other thing is, people remember you for your goodness of heart. Keep the good vibes going… too much other stuff going on in the world. I will have the same smile on my face next year when home grown tomatoes 🍅 appear on the lunch plate… those are good vibes!!!❤

I’ve been watching for quite a while now but only ordered recently. The reason? I assumed that with the price of seeds in stores and online that yours would be double. I just assumed for your small company to make any money you had to charge more. I never even looked until that first order. I went there because I had such bad germination rates this season. Now everything has taken off and it will all freeze. Even tho it’s all growing I’m getting 1 or 2 squash per plant. I look forward to using your seeds next spring and knowing they came from a place with standards and values. Thank you for running such an amazing company and being an amazing human being
