Started at 5. Never played 3. Heroes 5 is one of the best games I ever played. I think nobody who ONLY played, let's say Heroes 5, would say it was a bad game, whatever Heroes 3 people think. And this happens again with Heroes 6.

I thought H2 Haven was the best represent of humans in general, but now I've seen everything with this one. Not being "naturally" gifted with extra limbs or super regenerative properties etc, but they are a determined group that do not rely on being "special" to survive. A feeling of tragic acts as a shadow of the song, as can be seen by the human race's constant rise and fall, high and low points in history and civilization. Humnas are not special, and in that they are. And sorry for my English

I like the music because I found a way to listen to some without having to negotiate through the bug fest and issues caused by the reliance on permanent internet connection to stay in game even in single player mode. Bascially, I now have a CD of mildly interesting motion picture or possibly elevator music. Thats Ubisoft for you. Always adding value. Good music as usual. Really would like to see a patch that actually fixes the same problems which were there since beta though.

The angels of might and magic are interesting. The humans are somewhat in awe of them but I get the impression that whilst they do seem to care a bit about mankind they are also quite manipulative.

Thx for sharing this music. It fits well the Homm saga even though Romero didn't compose it. Its flute (?) melody gives it an almost sad and narrative style while the choeur an epic dimension. Both melody and choeur rythmed by a guitar. Beautifull.

Might and Magic series, always known for their excellent music. This scene is especially good, i love the use of guitar. And of guitar along with a chorus which is unusual.

@ProtossImba Fair enough opinion. Heroes 4 was the first game in the series that I played. I loved it so much because it was such an awesome game. The thing I loved about that game the most was the Sea music. Every time I went out to sea or happened to be on a river I would stand there and listen to the music. Heroes 4 isn't my favourite now but it was still an awesome game IMO.

Game Boy Color :P Yes, they did release one game for the handheld. And Clash of Heroes for NDS, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC though that game takes place before HoMM5 and uses a different style.

It's amazingly calming and relaxing, it's also very elvish, but in a good way. Love it!

Heroes 4 was different from 3, but it was awesome in it's own right. The only game so far where you actually fight with the guys mentioned in the titles, instead of just the armies they command. Not to mention the hugeee array of specializations you could use on them. You could turn one into a very tough warrior/tank that can take huge amounts of punishement, or go for an archmage, that can either provide huge damage, or an insane amount of buffs/debuffs that can turn the battle.

@StoneageVultures I agree with you on Necro in Heroes III. I loved how freaking awesome they were, I especially loved the Dread Knights. I wish in a future Heroes game they will bring those feared champions back.

@Dradolan haha i meant music wise lol, but yeah necroplis was my 2nd fav to play. Fortress were nasty when they got going. If you could get it with an expert fire magic skills(with the intelligence dude) it was devastating.

@VeigarMasterOfEvil The music is definitely awesome! The game just recently got an update and it runs so much better now. It does have a sort of Elvish feeling to it yeah but the choir singing then turns it into Haven for sure.

5 was best in series for a lot of reasons. 1: More and better races & units. 2: Better town screen and music 3: Better more worthwhile expansions 4: Better Skirmish Mode and Map Editor 5: No Uplay DRM and OP Dynasty items

Not bad, it gives a good atmosphere to the game. HoMM always had great music. :) No hate or anything, but come any heroes game, I'll love IV even after my death. Why, you ask? The memories. All of them. Lysander and Gauldoth Half-Dead...the music...the endless maps that I've played through again and again...

@Nordrake1983 The town view simply isn't full-screen. I also vastly prefer being able to visually see every building that has been built on the map over having some generic one that tells me nothing of what building my oppnents have built. But hey, everyone has their preferences. For the next game or an expansion I hope they implement both.

@Legoldos Heroes 4 wasn't a bad game by any means. I'd say it had the best music in the series (though I'm thinking 6 is overtaking it) and some of the aspects such as caravans and the custom events made for some really enjoyable games. 6 seems to be building on everything that made 5 better than its predecessors, while fixing a lot of the problems it had. I'm loving 6 so far!

HOMM 5 Haven theme has that unique part (joyous? classical upbeat? and something uplifting? I don't know, I'm not very good at descriptive words) that I just love but HOMM 6 Haven theme is pretty good too.

I remember playing heroes at my PS2, it was a sucky remake but I got to admit it was fun and the gameworld was just huge. Btw, I think Haven theme from Heroes V is much, much better.

there is a heroes for PS 2 heroes quest for the dragon bone staff. but its not like all other hero's games and you dont have castle's to build just 1 hero buying army and sailing around looking for outlaws to capture to complete the puzzle map where the staff is located

Heroes 3 was a top 5 game of all time(being compared to Goldeneye and Diablo 2). But the music in #5 was absolutely awesome. Although, Necroplis and Rampart from #3 are my favs from any game what so ever. Number 4 wasnt a BAD game, but a great building block for the next gen of Heroes.

Don't understand why people don't give this game a chance when it is overall a better game than 3. This is coming from a diehard HoMM fan that still loves Heroes 3. Heroes 6 is a lot more balanced (especially when it comes to heroes) and it flows much better. Combat is also more demanding and fun. Heck, my 2 fav factions aren't even in the game and I still rank this as my favorite Heroes game.

@StoneageVultures The only part of the Necropolis town theme that I liked in Heroes III is the end part with the harpsichord ending off in a sad, mourning light. What I would give for a real harpsichord :P.

Okay, disclaimer time; This is a BEAUTIFUL piece of music. I LOVE it. But still... isn't it a bit too... elven? I mean, Rampart anyone? Where are the tower bells, the trumpets, the stately, majestic drumming and whatnot? I'm not going to complain though - everything's better than the Brass-fest that was Heroes V's Haven and Inferno. "Hmmm... something's wrong with this theme.... I know! ADD MORE BRASS!!!" *BRAAAAAAHM*

That's Michael isn't it? Couldn't play thru the 2nd mission of the Falcon campaign. Any help? The rate the enemy hero's troops keep spawing was just TOO much! Should I've gone for the Dragonknight quest asap :P?? Pls help, any headup/tips would suffice really wanna finish the campaigns so that I justify a good long single-map outing =P!

@ShanyiBacsi my favorite also was and still is to this day HOMM IV, of course technology now and in the future will allow the the creation of better graphics and great game music, as I loved V, great music, great graphics and details, but i didn't play it as I did IV, there was something in IV that I can't explain, ppl usually say III was the best, not for me, that was great too...I didn't yet play VI so I couldn't say but I've seen some of the new units and it's not that fantasy...

The game itself is ok, it's more balanced than H5 and less complex too, choose either blood or tears instead of the myriads of attributes in 5. BUUUTTTT the conflux is a pain in the ass...I can only be grateful for the days when they're ok cos when they're not I can't do anything but rage at the horrible DRM! And for the record I'm an Inferno fan in 5 & 6...having lots of luck and gating is fun! ;p
