As much as everyone wants "a new Mega Man game", just remember Inti Creates made Mega Man Zero, ZX, 9 and 10. These guys are the TRUE Mega Man developers, not Inafune. If you want a fast paced version of old school Mega Man, PLAY this game. if you want a true successor to Zero? I implore you to play Azure Striker Gunvolt next month on Switch. Let Inti Creates forge their own legacy.

Yeah they have a really kick ass record when it comes to megaman type of games. 2d games in general actually. They also aided shantae pirates curse and i believe half genie hero if I am not mistaken. Not to mention mm 9 and 10 , zero games and zx games. I am really glad for this game. I have always felt REALLY BAD for might no 9 cast. It wasn't their fault. Their designs are really cool but the game wasn't what it was supposed to be (though there are things I will defend about it if asked). Hope this comes out on steam one day. I would love it.

If I had to be honest, I think the script of this video is really solid. It reads well. There's a real conversational tone to the writing but there are moments where the delivery of the speaker sounds more like they are reading the script that hurts the script. Otherwise, I appreciate the effort on these reviews.

You can customize your projectiles in so many different ways.. if you are clever enough you can easily kill every boss with the right bullet!

don't focus on it too much.. you don't need to create the best bullet, but it can help.. after all it's just a settings window where you can set up how fast it can be and how much damage it can deal..

ZeoLightning Sonic Mania's being made by fans, but the big wigs at Sega and Sonic Team don't seem to mind at all. Maybe they're too busy working on Sonic Forces? Who knows? When both games come out with Mania being the superior of the two, maybe it will give Sega and Sonic Team something to think about.

to be far, inti creates and comcept (inafune team/studio) have worked together and many of the devs on both sides know each other it wasn't just a "different company" ; your point is still reasonable, but mighty no 9 really suffered from dev hell, between poor community management, working with an outdated engine, etc. even if the game was fine it wasn't going to be perfect hopefully inafune learns from inti, they did an AMAZING job with gunvolt (brought it 3 times and probably 4 if it comes to the switch, 1st digitally {bonus kind of helped] 2nd time i got the dual[1&2] cartridge, 3rd time on steam cause steam sales make everything cheap and PC being a never dying platorm AND it was $3.75 was kinda a steal) i would be excited for mighty no. 9 if like others said, it could be like mega man X but still be itself

@frankpro53 the difference with sonic mania tho is that, Sonic isnt a failed concept. it had blunders and low Points but it STARTED amazing. and i dont really think Mania will be superior when most of it is just levels being remastered, granted it will be a magnificent game but its mostly building itself off of what was already successful. there's nothing to think about with that.

Defeating an enemy with a "Burst", if that enemy has any effects that activate upon death ,they do not activate. Like, the zombies that place spear traps, or the flying things that show 4-diretional, diagonal shots. This is important in Hard Mode because these same flying things shot 8 bullets instead and you can't just shoot from afar to avoid them at a certain late-game section.

I got this game and I just really like how you start out w/ Beck basically being bare-bones classic Mega Man but through getting upgrades you can essentially become a hybrid of X and Samus. And that final boss... I hate him, but I also love him.

The game's been updated to the point that attacks flash green whenever you hit a boss with its weakness. Also, you do know that getting a higher Burst Combo makes Gunvolt's skills more effective, right?

I made a weapon in this game that was an accurately homing spread of 5 5x exploding missiles that dealt double damage. I called it "north korea's final solution" The only thing I wish was for more mobility options. a speed multiplier at the least. And for ray. Editing how fast xel decay does damage. Just to balance her weapons a bit more. I made a weapon that was essentially "rage mode" the only weapon with xel decay.

Although the Burst system might be just bonus points for Beck, it has additional effects for Gunvolt. The higher the combo, the further specials are enhanced (by damage, duration, etc.) Also, dying with at least a 10 combo results in being resurrected by his... Muse? She sings an Anthem and he is resurrected with some HP. (Haven't played that game in full, don't remember the lore.)

The only time burst is important is when you try to go for S-Rank highscores ;) Additionally you have challanges; Like get 20 bursts in a stage (gets you a sticker); Get 40 (another sticker) or even get no burst (paradox challange -> another sticker) But that's the only useage for bursts; Highscores and challanges

I would say this game is mostly about the scores. Passing the levels is quite easy, especially with upgrades. But using bursts to get S scores (which you must do if you want to 100% the game) is really fun.

I actually quite enjoyed the gameplay of Mighty No. 9. I'd even go as far as to say that game was actually fun. I understand all the backlash against the game due to the poor kickstarter drama. It was also bad timing, on the wrong system. If Mighty No. 9 was released on switch it'd would've been fine. I would actually love to see a Mighty No 9 sequel. On switch that is.

I didn't think there was ever anything wrong with killing with dashing for MN9, but I think the real issue is that it took too long to kill without it. They could have easily made a easy to learn, hard to master simply on the dash itself, as the dash lets you absorb and gain a bonus, but it shouldn't have been a requirement to the gameplay as a necessity. Also, that customization came straight from Plague of Shadows. Personally at least, I don't know any other game that lets you customize to a layering degree.

Inti Creates are amazing. I loved Azure Striker Gunvolt 1 and 2, and they've proven through those games and this one that if you want Mega Man style games, these are the guys to go to.

I don't like the customizable weapons part. There's so much to change that it felt too imposing and I rarely used anything other than basic element shots with armor and air mobility. It also sucks that you have took closer between cp and these boss element when you beat a level.

Burst is not a useless mechanic since it shows the player that you deal more damage when up in their face since you can get out more shots a lot faster, and low DPS is standing back since the shots have to actually travel a distance
