@@peterkuchenbrod5696 agreed, he was the lead to most of their songs. I dig him too especially on “I’ll Be Around” how can you not be, with many other hits on lead vocals. Philippe was my favorite because he had that xtra gear that really makes you smile. It’s a shame no pun intended lol, that they are both gone, their music lives on though.

The Spinners was such a live entertaining group, what a joy to have seen them when they was on the Midnight Special. And two of those lady dancers that was dancing with the Spinners I actually remember seeing them on Soul Train when I was a kid back in the 70's, because they really stood out when they was dancing on the show with their good looks and outfits. Philippe Wynn was a very talented singer/entertainer; he had the whole package as both. I always thought that when he was fired from the Spinners he just never got back to the level of stardom he enjoyed being lead singer for the Spinners. He had joined Parliament Funkadelic up on stag performing in diapers; I can't remember if he was actually in diapers with the rest of the group, but I always thought that gig was way beneath his talent. The music from that era, rather if was R&B, Southern Rock, Pop, even some country, it all was pretty special with real singers with no fake music like the stuff today that try passing as music. I'm so blessed to have come up in that era when music was so good, and the singers could actually sing.
