This song is so sad, but I love it's purity and great storytelling. Now that my grandparents and other loved ones are gone, this song resonates with me. Everyone has had a Sadie in their lives. Rest in peace Henry Fambrough, the last remaining member of the Spinners who left us 2 days ago. RIParadise!!!! What a beautiful tribute to Philippe's mother. You can tell he really loved her. There are so many of us who can resonate to this song. I remember my grandmothers who worked hard to provide for the family.

I don't know who you are, but I thank you for posting this video. This song reminds me so much of my mom. For years I had not thoroughly grieved her passing. I was sitting in Central Park one night and decided to listen to the live recording of this song and the tears would not stop. It was that night that I was able to accept the fact that although mama was gone, she left so much love. Nobody could sing this song like my brother Phillipe Wynne. He was truly gifted and knew how to make you really feel a song. What a wonderful surprise. They don't sing like this anymore.

I just attended a party for a 80 year old MAN. As an array of people stood and gave testimony to the goodness and effectiveness of this person on the lives of others, I wondered why very few of our everyday success stories are publicized. A good husband, loving father and stepfather, a supportive grandfather, a caring co-worker, neighbor, church member, and most of all my brother. Luv ya Steve.

This songs means so much to me. My mother raised me and my 6 siblings by working and scraping by on the minimum. We grew up as migrant workers and didn't have much BUT we had more love than ANYONE truly deserves. My mother was one of God's angels and went to be with the Lord at a very young age. The line in the song " I know she's teaching Angel's how to love" . Is without question the truth. I thank God for allowing me the time I did spend with her. And by the way her Name is Sadie Mae.....I love you Mom.
