This was such an awesome day! Meeting both of you and having you sign my helmet! The 2 second frame of me and my mate in his Saab 900 (1:03:40) and chatting to Marty and Moog afterwards - just a blast of a day. Seeing such an iconic Aussie car channel put such a neglected part of Australia on the big stage is just awesome to see and to have been a part of. 2024 has been a bastard of a year but this made it all worth it - #1 highlight of the year, cheers fellas for doing Tassie justice Merry Christmas!

They are some of the best roads to drive on. I use to take this route from Hobart to go to work every week, up past Tarraleah, to Queenstown, onto Rosebery in my VW Scirocco R. It saw rain, snow, hail and some of the best sunrises and sunsets on the way to work/back home. The car never gave me any issues, it was the “perfect” car for the drive. A lot of nostalgia watching this video. Thank you ❤

Canadian here. First car was a gen 1 Miata. Can confirm snow/rain/shit blow over you as long as you don’t stop. Have had top down in every month of the year (including Jan/Feb… in Ontario, Canada… as long as you put in up/down in a heated garage you’re good)

Tassie has the best driving roads. I moved from Canberra to Hobart 8 years ago for my first job out of uni. I live on one of the Targa Tasmania legs, and I can personally vouch for how fun these roads truly are.

It's always a bit mind-bending to me that big ships actually go 25-30+ knots cruising speed. My 4.7 meter boat with a 60 hp 2-stroke triple cylinder does 32 knots max and 25 is optimum. That's the same as that giant thing! Amazing.

I never thought after the end of The Grand Tour that anyone would be able to create the same magic, laughs and adventure as the legendary trio without it being a complete cheesy ripoff but somehow you two legends are starting to pull it off more and more each year with great hilarious banter, great adventures/journeys, great locations/landscapes, great friendship and just great content in general! Marty and Moog. Guys, thank you. Sometimes life is a hard road to plow down and the smiles can be fewer and further between, but, then something wonderful happens, you boys make a new movie. Thank you, thank you, thank you. As with all of your amazing films, I found myself sitting and watching with a smile across my face throughout the whole thing. This came at just the right time and for that I am grateful. You both are great ambassadors for not only car culture, but, for what it is to be a proper human being as well. I look forward to the future of MCM and all the great engineering and adventures that it will bring our way. So, from America, I salute you and your amazing team. Again, thank you.

I must admit this has probably been my favourite Xmas special from you guys. So I want to say thank you for your hard work over the years and delivering this one for us all to enjoy today. Hope one day you come to Scotland for a trip I think you'd love it here. Especially on the NC500 route. Merry Xmas to you both and your families and all the best for 2025.

as a 41yo that loves MCM, this episode reminded me how epic long term friendships are and made me appreciate them that much more. cheers marty and moog. you two are incredible and inspirational.
