You don’t have to turn fielding off, you can naturally become a DH after a few games when the coach asks you about how you feel with your status as a two way player

As a two way player myself in the show. I'd recommend setting up a second playstyle. They let you choose before each game. That way you have one with all pitcher perks. Then a second with fielding/batting perks

Youre gonna want to do 2 diff rollouts for equipment/perks. 1 for hitting/fielding, 1 for pitching day. For example on pitching day I use axle grease +all pitching perks and hitting day I use legendary call+ all hitting perks. I also personally prefer if you leave impact plays on but thats up to you.

You should turn fielding back on you DH the game before you pitch and the game after as well. It helps you move up your skill set a lot faster

You should also use pitches that you can tunnel really well. Give trevor bauer's arsenal a try, 4-seam, 2-seam, slider, curveball, and either a cut or split. This works really well with your new pitching style which is just straight up velo. Very simple pitches and easy to tunnel, and very effective as well.

I think you should create a new perk slot. 1 is for your hitting 2 is for your pitching You just need to know when you are pitching to switch up your perks.

Hey man, I use to play with a two way as well, there is a perk that you can put on that gives you velocity when you have 50% or lower stamina/energy. Don’t remember the name but you can look for it on the diamond perks I think. It literally allows you to keep thrown at normal pitch speed even though your stamina is 0%.

My 2-way player has a great fastball, so I usually work the bottom of the zone with off-speed stuff until I get 2 strikes, then work the top with the fastball to finish them off. Minor leaguer's especially have a hard time laying off the high cheese.

In the player menu you can make another slot which allows you to have one slot for pitching equipment and perks and one slot for batting equipment and perks and before each game it gives you the option of which slot you wanna use and you pick pitching or batting based on what it says you’ll be playing next game

The Debut of all debuts of all time i did my own two-way player and it was honestly fun doing both starting pitcher and batter. Also, you naturally become a DH hitter, as in my career i had games where i was a DH and a following day id be shortstop

I don't know if it's just me but I would recommend to turn hitting diff on legend. In all the sports games I play be it 2k, FIFA, Madden, etc., I want my player to get a stat line that is amazing, but still achievable. Hitting a Home Run every single game just breaks the immersion for me.
