I've been watching your videos for a few months now and find myself binging a lot of your back catalogue content. Really enjoy your enthusiasm and creativity.

The G-217 looks good. Try using toothpaste (cheaper the better as it has other less crap in it) and an electric rotary toothbrush to polish the inside & outside. The brush will get into all the little contours. This will leave it with a milky translucent finish. Then I use hard-coat intended for car headlights. The 3M version, I think is the best. It works much better than spray varnish and, depending on the polishing with toothpaste, can give you a genuine crystal clear model.

Sweet prints. Be fun to see that mini mac. Expanded to use the 7 or 10" founder touch screen. And that clear case. Also love that crystal jabba skull. That was cool.

Nice! You might want to print out a long buffet table and some cubes in clear to go with the ' ice sculpt Jabba ' that turned out great considering. I have tryed clear resins before and Zero success. Either it would blob or just not print so the remainder of the 250ml bottle was sponge brused on things and UV light cured to give a clear coat. Before you ask, I recently looked at one ' coating ' and under the right lighting you can't see the yellowing at that thin a coat.

Cherry MX Greens? Truly a man of culture. In my opinion they're the best cherry switches and it sucks that they're so rare (at least in my country)
@MightyJabbasCollection2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m not really a big fan of Cherry switches generally or clicky switches but when you have only 4 switches on a board it’s nice to make them clicky and satisfying to press

That "mystery dome" looks like Jabba's pipe to me.

I saw a vid recently....if you skip the ISO bath, clean with air pressure, and go straight to UV Curing it cuts Way down on the cloudiness....

Any yellowing since you posted this video? Have you found any other non-yellowing clear resins?
@MightyJabbasCollection Жыл бұрын
I haven’t noticed any yellowing

How did you clean and cure this resin?
@MightyJabbasCollection Жыл бұрын
Basically the same as other resins - washed in alcohol and cured in a UV chamber
@mzsherman Жыл бұрын
@@MightyJabbasCollection What was your UV curing time?
@MightyJabbasCollection Жыл бұрын
@@mzsherman Honestly I don’t remember but I tried to keep it to a minimum since it’s the UV that will cause the yellowing. Doing some experimentation is probably a good idea

@@MightyJabbasCollection Thanks so much! I've got some I need to cure (prints coming off now) and I want to make sure I don't ruin them!
