Griffon also gives you shortcuts for Jahais meta achieve for vision. Some of the alternatives are very time consuming.

It's important to tell people, all mounts are the best at being themselves and you can't replace any mount with any other mount. They're all worth getting, and everyone should have all of them.

tbh, the only mount I see having no utility at all after skyscale's release is the bunny... :x

SkyScale easly replace skimmer, springer and raptor. But still need standart mounts for get :D

@@goodbooy4980 youll have to land after some time with the skyscale, thats a bit hard to do on water, you also wont have an underwater mount and raptor is a lot faster than the skyscale

This game’s mounts are incredible, in FFXIV once you had a cool mount there was no reason to switch off, at least during the time i was playing (no knock on that game i like it, but i dont love it) i love the GW2 mounts I have been on a quest for collecting them all now, pretty much abandoned everything else lol. I have been chasing the dumbest things i spend a month getting everything for twilight as soon as i hit 80, then 2 days for Griffon, hopped round expansions did a whole bunch of WvW and PvP. I reckon i will collect all the mounts before i do any ascendent gearing… I have some trinkets ascendent but i dont care that much i’ll be fine with Zhed’s armor for now xD

I wish they brought Bounties to EOD. I always enjoyed the scaled up versions of monsters and it also took you to different locations on the maps.

yeah i hopped on a leggy bounty train yesterday because i needed Corrupted Facet for Griffon (thinking surely we would kill that at one point) ironically CP wasn’t available the ENTIRE time i was with the group, but they were the nicest bunch of people, and we went all over got heaps of achievements and heaps of mats. I had to camp the bounty board for CP lol but we finally got it with a bunch of randos. Ah what an adventure!!!

@@REVI7970 I lucked out, when I got to the map there was already a bounty train going, said in map chat I needed facet and the commander checked the board and there it was and we killed it. Took all of 5 minutes

It always bothers me when people say "once you get skyscale you'll only use skyscale! No other mount matters after skyscale!" I use all of them. Any short distance travel I'll use the Raptor, even the Jackal sometimes since it has the highest base movement speed on land. Any vertical climbing I need to do I'll use Springer where ever possible. On/under water I'll use the Skimmer of course. Any long distance horizontal travel I'll use the Roller Beetle as long as the terrain allows. Any long range travel but I'm in a high place I'll use the Griffon since it is the fastest mount in the game, especially useful if my destination is also a high point I can swoop back up to. The only niche and rarely used ones are the Jackal and Siege Turtle, which are mostly for sand portals and CC, respectively.

I had like 300 hours in Gw2 when i got my griffon. Once i did the masteries for it and maxed it out, i spent 150 hours being that griffon boi

Those are crystal champions masteries! You unlock that part in living world s4. And one of the skills(stealth) is from icebrood saga :D
