@intromortti8 ай бұрын
@@andrearel3703 Yes, but I meant, it is not the whole thing, like in punk or metal. Nothing to make the sound any different or bigger than it is naturally. That sounds like Gretsch and Fenders. You can hear every note clearly.
@easypeasy29388 ай бұрын
Setzer has used the same rig for years: 2 1960's Fender Bassman amps with Chinese tubes, a Space Echo pedal and occasionally a Tube Screamer pedal. He definitely drives the heck out of those tubes, so the guitar sound definitely is distorted. I would also like to point out the Stray Cats toured with FOUR members including a SAXAPHONE, so there's that. But the number of musicians really doesn't have any bearing on the "quality" of the sound - Rush is a prime example.
@easypeasy29388 ай бұрын
@@mr.anderson70 I can't imagine why a band would want to use CGI, pagers, dolphins or pizza parties, but I assure you Setzer's guitar rig includes several effects pedals and two heavily "modded" Fender Bassman. Pagers? What are you eighty years old?

Start with 3 songs that'll make em wiggle, then do a slow song to make em rush the bar. No matter what genre you're doing, use slow songs in this way. That's how you milk a house. Remember watching that Loreley Open Air concert on german TV that august in '83. I was very impressed with the Stray Cats.

Stray Cats in the 80's being popular would be like some band that sounded like Soundgarden being popular in 2023. It just couldn't happen!
