hi, I'm unable to connect DMA to Azure VM. I followed every thing as you did. Final error I'm getting as "Invalid target server details were specified for the migration. A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The wait operation timed out.) The wait operation timed out"

why we need file storage in the migration service. can we directly upload DB local to Azure VM?

It is not mandatory, we can also storage account
